I think that with this injury, Tiago officially moves into the "Glass Joe" zone.
smh
Put a hard cast on it and let him go Laimbeer on these Utes.![]()

smh
Exactly. Put a cast on that mother er and use it...
Pop is an idiot for thinking splitter is made of glass!!!!
Pop just shrugs his shoulders and says "told ya"
He can miss the next two games and have a week off. Hopefully it's minor. Hard to tell with him. He gets all these little BS injuries, and he also sits out games because of an upset stomach. He isn't the toughest dude on the squad.
People seriously ting on Splitter can go themselves, tbh... injuries happen. Let's hope it's nothing serious and that he can be back in a game or two.
happy Tiago is hurt
his only needed for the 6 fouls and defense, how hard can it be with a cast?
i think i prefer to have a big body then increased minutes of dancing bear
Just Pop finding an excuse to use the Turd Towers tbh.
In related news, DeJuan Blair says "You're loving me now, ain'tcha Spurstalk?"
Hope it's nothing serious and something he can play through.
We can't catch a break with injuries.
Yeah I'm ing thrilled.
ting on = made of glass?
Sorry the COT is that sensitive.
In future rounds perhaps, but a healthy Splitter would go a long ways towards ensuring this is going to be a 4 game series. As many have pointed out it's going to be a pick and roll heavy offense against the Jazz and the Manu/Splitter P&R is one of the Spurs best combo.
Get well soon Tiago!
He'll be ok, man. Let's think positive but if he'll have to miss a game, there's still reason to believe we can sweep this team.
I have no horse in this race, other than Tiago being a Spur and the fact that he was an integral part of the team being where it is and where is going to be going forward...
He obviously didn't punch a wall and sprained his wrist... he was out there doing work... it's not his fault he got hurt. Let's just hope it's nothing serious.
Honestly, I think McDonald's #hinthint was referring to this being really minor and another " upset stomach" missing games type of thing. It's the playoffs, if he can move it then shoot it with painkillers, wrap it and get on the court.
hopefully whoever is his backup turd tower can replicate his man to man defense putting a body out their....bonner looks like his got the hang of it, but still looks like a clown out their trying to play a lick of defense, but i take his effort over the dancing bear
Yeah actually. Bonner's getting a pass from me after this game. Other than the defense at times I definitely can't complain about his performance. In fact, if he keeps this up I'll stop ragging on him for not producing in the post-season.
Damn, this blows.
Bonner's best playoff game by a million miles...
blair does atleast a good job on milsap
get splitter well for other teams
Spurs reserve center Tiago Splitter will have an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the wrist sprain he suffered early in the Spurs’ 106-91 victory over Utah in Game 1 of the Western Conference playoffs.
Splitter, who left the AT&T Center after Sunday’s game, said he injured the wrist while bracing his fall after tumbling early in the first quarter. He continued to play after the fall, scoring four points with one rebound in seven minutes of first-half action, but did not rejoin the team on the bench to start the second half.
The 6-foot-11 Splitter is the only other traditional big man on the Spurs’ roster besides Tim Duncan, and is considered an integral piece of the game plan for handling Utah’s oversized frontline.
DeJuan Blair, a 6-foot-7 forward/center, took Splitter’s place in the rotation Sunday and would likely see an increased role if the big Brazilian is shelved for an extended period. Blair finished with five points and two rebounds in 9:46 — all in the second half after Splitter’s injury
not sure if serious base on this game alone when he got minutes, dude basically nearly allowed the jazz back into the game from a 15pt lead down to 9pts only for pop to get his ass out of the game
check the sequence of plays when he was in the game, scores a basket, turnover, next possession PNR goes for the rim again...its like he thinks his first option on offense everytime he touches the ball
