Holy , it looks like a tie
oh , props to that guy
Holy , it looks like a tie
Though foodie2 posted that score first
I don't know the economics of sports blogs, but my guess is that if LJ took the writeups that he already spends so much time on and simply started also posting them to some sort of blog -- whether one of the existing Spurs blogs, a new one you guys started, or as a Spurs correspondent for a general NBA site -- it could produce enough revenue to pay for this whole site.
That wouldn't solve the issues of time and aggravation, but at least it would solve the financial part of the equation.
This is biblical.
End of days.

Best Sports board on the 'net.
this is a fantastic forum. the best. thanks for running it kori and lj.
I hated almost every minute of the 11 years I lived in San Antonio but the first three Spurs les made it all worth it. I'll never forget this epic run. I don't share the same optimism as most of the diehard homers like TampaDude saying the Spurs will be back next year. This was their last shot. I'm pretty much done with the NBA at this point after they just dropped 2002 Game 6 the redux on the Spurs. At least this place still has the NFL forum.
This was a great season to follow the spurs. Even though I live in Minneapolis, spurstalk makes it easier to follow my spurs. Thank you Kori and LJ.
This was almost a perfect season.
Pop managed to get rest for the big three yet still got the #1 seed. He played it like a Stradivarius.
The playoff brackets set up perfectly, with the Spurs having to face either OKC or the Lakers, but not both.
The Spurs took advantage of it all nearly pefectly, 20 wins in a row and plenty of rest during the playoff run to boot.
Then in one week's time it all came crashing down.
Why?
Did the Spurs start to believe their (belated) raves fron the national media?
Did they hit a physical wall when they finally had to play every other day for more than four games?
Did Joey Crawford arrive in OKC with a sniper's rifle in his attache case?
The fact is, they played it near pefectly, but got beat by a better team in the end. They placed themselves in a position to delay that end for as long as possible but it was likely to come at some point. (I thought it might be against the Heat in the Finals.) That is, unless they drew one more inside straight along the way. And that was always possible as long as the magic continued, and it did for long enough that you had to think, well, maybe . . .
I feel bad for Duncan because he is such a compe or and, unlike, Parker and Manu he'll have no Olympics to take away some of the sting.
The Spurs overacheived and, as a result, placed themselves on a stage on which they could be critiqued and dismissed by pundits who first underrated, and then overrated, them.
But all in all, relevance beats irrelevance no matter how visible and painful the ending might be.
It was a great (if not perfect) season. (Now, let's just rid of Bonner. Ooops, sorry Matt.)![]()

I'm holding out hope that one of those offseason changes is a requiring all posts to be written in rap form.
This is pretty much the most entertaining forum I have ever been to. Hope it sticks around to discuss "rebuilding".
Here's to ST... I'll be locking my trolls back up in the basement until next season.
fify... ya heard meh?!
Timvp can't stop, won't stop.
Nooooo. Keep this site intact. Please Mr and Mrs Ellis.![]()
faker timvp!!!!! He's a clown!!!!! Kori ur man is a joker not true spur!!!!!
Thanks for the site and great year Timvp and Kori. I too found this site a few days after the Memphis series loss last year and was upset that I had mostly missed the Duncan era and his prime. I had ample opportunity to watch him throughout the years and am lucky enough to have watched the 2005 championship games and I had a great fishing trip during the run in 2007 (if I could live off Spurs and fishing I would). Anyway, this was the first year where I watched all the games, except for three and I had a great time coming to this site during and after the games for an analysis of what went right and what went wrong. This place has a great atmosphere and if worse comes to worst I hope you know many people including myself would donate to keep it alive. I look forward to the Kawhi era and the upcoming discussions. What will Kawhi number one priority be in the offseason? Will Blair gain a jump shot? What should\will Tiago work on during the offseason and how will the summer games hurt that development? Will we resign Danny Green, I hope we can and what will he work to improve on? Can Neal improve his defense? Will Boris stop driving inside when he can already shoot a wide open three? Will the Spurs keep Matt Bonner and if so what will he work on in the post season, maybe a step back fadeaway after his drive off the three point line? Will we keep Mills as a backup PG? What happens to Cory this year and what are his offseason plans? Will Tim work on a three point shot for the tail end of his career? What can be done to help Tony shoulder the load, maybe a tough physical big man with a reliable post game? Howimproved can Ginobili's chemistry be with the second unit?
I've been a lurker for years, maybe a post here and there. This year I probably posted more than I ever have (and that's not saying much). I'm getting old, but I feel like this is the one place I can come and get some Spurs news, banter, and togetherness with other Spurs fans. That's huge for me not being from S.A. I sincerely hope you don't shut down but whatever you decide, just wanted to say what you've created is pretty amazing. Here's to you two, your health, and your family.

Really don't see why we can't donate. I'm sure a donation of $1 per person would help tremendously, and I know people (myself included) would give more than that. I've been coming here for 8 years and can't imagine not having it around during the playoffs especially
You can't ask everyone for money because guys like Mavs>Spurs are completely broke. If he really cared about the site he would voluntarily leave since he is the main harrassing poster (calling the gracious Timvp "young husband" after being warned, starting multiple threads about Timvp and harrassing Kori to the point she has to seriously consider shutting downthe site).
