Put him at 10 and move everyone else down.

I think both of those guys, especially Rogers, will end up in the top 10 easily. Still some very good years ahead of both
You can't put a guy who has played four seasons as a top 11 Qb of all time.
Yet.
Lol @ everyone here that doesn't think Marino is a top 5 QB.
I understand using the rings argument in the NBA, but the NFL?![]()
He's playing against the greatest defenders ever right now. He's already won a SB and setting records. Yep, top 10!
I think Brees will end up being top 10, but there's a flipside to your argument. Back then the DL could headswipe the OL to get to the QB, and CBs like Mel Blount were allowed to murder receivers downfield before they touched the ball. The league has never been more catered to passing offenses than it is now.
Probably because they hadn't drafted a QB in the first round ( where 99% of franchise qbs are) since Marino. The Brees-Culpepper decision sill haunts me though.. Take Brees and you possibly have a superbowl or two, instead of being the NFL's laughingstock for the last 7 years.
Yeah those lion and Vikings secondaries are something to behold...
You're projecting that he's going to continue that success which you can't do when coming up with the greatest quarterbacks ever.
You're saying he'd have a more successful career than Jim Kelly if he retired right now just because of that one superbowl?
I remember that jags game vividly...Marino threw the lone Dolphins TD (to Oronde Gadsden) at the end of the half to cut the deficit to 41-7, afterwhich Gadsden celebrates by doing his "O-G" arm gesture. That was a quintessential "african" move, and Marino had the "Really, dude?" look on his face after that![]()
Well aware of all that but the players are so much faster today, things are happening so much quicker.
But...
There is something about.. dominance of era.. and that really is how these..The Greatest...type lists should be done. Obviosly all these guys today are bigger, stronger, faster. So if we do go with...dominance of era...then no Brees isn't on a par with a lot of those old timers. , nobody dominated an era like Otto Graham.
1985 against Cleveland (18-point third-quarter deficit overcome) and 1990 against Kansas City (13-point fourth-quarter deficit overcome.) *
*- Opponents both coached by Marty Schottenheimer
bring an argument and not just
And while you're coming up with something intelligent to say, why don't you answer DD's question about Marino in the playoffs?
Why are there so many dip homers?!?!?!?!!??!?!!?!?!?!!?!?
I'd rather not waste my time with someone who thinks bradshaw>marino.![]()
probably because you don't have a coherent argument and fall back on emoticons
solid
Hard to find 3 QBs drafted in the first round.
1990 with Jeff George and Andre Ware was close.....
It's not even understandable in the NBA, tbh...
You think Fouts and Bradshaw > Marino the GOAT, so you're in no position to be criticizing others' takes on the matter, tbh....
