Yikes! Glad she's okay!

Dang Manny, sorry about Jess (and her car). At least she's not hurt.
Oh yeah, and I forgot to add...
While the cop was writing the police report, we were standing under an overhang on a building downtown. I hauled ass down there when she called me.
Well, as we're standing there, a piece of wood fell down and nailed me on the shoulder!!! WTF?!?!?!
That sucks. Do you guys have any mode of transportation now? Both of your cars went out in like a week's time.
Glad that Jessica is alright.
We both have our trusty Bus passes and Jess car will be fixed by the insurance soon. I think she could get a rental from them as well, but thats probably going to have to wait for a few days.
the insurance company should hook you up with a rental the same day if it is part of her insurance...
I'm aware of that. But to avoid raising rates we're going completely through the other drivers policy. If you make claims on your insurance, they will raise your rates whether or not you are at fault.
It is really no big deal either way. We're good at getting around on the bus.
The other driver's insurance should provide you with a rental car too.
Yes, they will, but they're going to drag their heels untill an adjuster determines their driver was at fault. The dude told the cop he was turning, so I don't think theres much of a debate.
Does the curse extend to family members?
I just got off the phone with my mom who was hit from behind this morning over by Westover Hills & Culebra.
She's alright for the most part, some ligament problems in her neck (so she's in a brace) and the car's kind of funky with the frame and maybe transmission.
sorry to hear that Joe. Hope you moms is alright/gets better quick.
