IMO they've got the pieces in place to make a run.

Not really, one of the weaker 8-0 teams I've seen in recent memory tbh.

Not to mention last time they had the #1 seed, they rolled over and played dead in 2010. The Georgia Dome isn't that great of HFA

I would agree with that,but only because that team doesn't exactly have a history of being a playoff juggernaut.
A struggling 5-3 Steelers team will always be called a "solid 5-3 team" .... vs a team like the Falcons who will undoubtedly be deemed "overrated" and "unproven" , despite being undefeated.

Yeah until Matt Ryan proves he can get it done, I'll never take them seriously as a contender. Other than having a dynamic 1-2 punch at the WR positions, there's nothing great that the Falcons do. They're solid all around, but I can easily see a team like Green Bay, SF, or New York get on a hot streak, roll into Atlanta, and beat them handily in the postseason.
