They have never had huge demand for a nexus.
Heck, the 32GB galaxy nexus has been 350 for many months and it wasn't moving very fast.
Yeah, the tablet mode features just make me squint, no thanks.
I would be on a Nexus 4 if they were ever in stock, but the whole thing has put me off. I almost feel that the phone was more of a marketing gimmick - no way they couldn't have known a phone at that price wouldn't be in high demand.

The other Nexuses weren't offered the same way this one, though. I think the Galaxy Nexus was available for $300 on contract and $700 unlocked (not initally available in play store). It wasn't until this summer they slashed the price to $350 unlocked, 8 months after the phone was out.
In the Nexus 4 you had a brand new phone on the newest Android (OS that has continued to grow) being offered for $300/$350 unlocked. Heck if you're not from T-mobile you're definately are gonna pick the unlocked ones up, so I'm not sure how they could underestimate demand by so much. Mind you, I can't imagine selling a phone like this at that price yields much of a profit margin - which would make sense why supply has been the way it has been.
I understand that it isn't exactly the same, but that price drop was only 6 months after release and it wasn't flying. I am not saying that they should have anticipated the same kind of sales as the Gnex, but that they could have drawn some conclusions from it. Add to that all of the whining about 8GB, 16GB, and HSPA+ and it is easy to see how demand could be much higher than expectations.
While I agree there was talk about the LTE and space issues, I think there was much more talk/hype about the attractive price point, tbh.
But I mean seriously, the phone has been available for a total of like 20 freaking minutes on the Play Store since it was released. I'm not even sure if the stock can be compared to what they had in the past with other GNexes (well until they (IF they) release sales figures).
I would like to see sales figures too.
LG might not know what to do with one of their phones actually being in demand tbh
JellyBAM runs smoothly on HTC One S
I must have a more recent version than the one you had
Yeah it sucks that you have to browse through PA, AOPK and CM to find the setting you want to tweak, but I can live wtih it
Oh and I guess its a good thing I upgraded to JB with a ROM
Jelly Bean is being rolled out on the HTC Evo 4G, even though they never made an announcement about it, while HTC One S was supposed to get JB in October
Are you ing kidding me ?![]()
I got that htc official JB update and i wasn't even waiting for it u mad bro?
Google basically doesn't give a about everyone getting updates. Good thing the dev community is so strong. In many ways, this touches directly on the fragmentation issue that's becoming more and more prevalent with each passing Android release. The longer the platform lives, the more people are being left behind on older builds. Without trying to read too closely betwixt the lines, it sure sounds as if Google's top priority is to get Android to as many people as possible, while letting the details -- things like percentage of Android users able to update to its latest version -- fall as they may. It's obviously a very different tactic from that taken in Cupertino, but then again, thinking differently sure hasn't hurt either of the two.

I was talking about the more recent LTE version
Is that what you own ?

This is not out of the question, tbh
I found the app that I need without rooting, so I'm not going to.

And that wasnt even real feel temp; by the way, I didnt take those pics today
I know you didnt like J-BAM, but on my phone its super smooth (maybe you ran an older version, I dunno)
And battery life destroys stock's![]()
I liked JellyBam, I just found it hogged my RAM (<100MB free of 1 GB) and my battery life was weird. Could be the ROM for S2 still is a little rough or maybe it's just my phone.
RootBox is almost exactly like JellyBam expect I've had more free RAM/battery, tbh.
Yeah Ive read good things about Rootbox
r00t j00r b0x0rz lol
