Either the guy did get the gun illegally, or Connecticut's gun laws aren't strict at all. If strict gun laws mean full automatic rifles with all of those accessories are legal, I'd hate to see what unstrict gun laws are.

Connecticut has a full-out assault weapons ban, so the killer must have gotten his gun illegally.... if he wasn't going to follow state law, I'd say it's probably unlikely he would have followed a federal anti-gun law either...

I don't own a gun, nor will I ever, but I still argue in favor of gun rights only because there are plenty of responsible gun owners in this country that shouldn't be punished for the actions of criminals, and because it's been proven over and over again that draconian gun bans only encourage more gun crime...

I think we should have gun rights too, but there should be a very thorough test done. It shouldn't be harder to get a driver's license than it is to legally own a gun.
