but why should americans fight the japs and germans at once when the war was half a world away from US mainland? russia was part of the allies and japan was their enemy, but they and japs were tacitly keeping pace between each other so that the japs could continue weakening the nationalist china, which would increase the odd of success for the commie s to take over the country when the war ended, which they managed to do. russians remained basically the same s throughout the war tbh

Slight confusion there. Jerry didn't attack the Japs, technically. Japs were shut out from Oil and other resources via US embargo, so they attacked Pearl Harbour, trying to kill the pacific fleet, failed a little, had indecisive leadership unwilling to invade american soil, rest is history. Now, Jerry didn't attack Fritz either, Adolf just went nuts and declared war on US right after Pearl Harbour, with the intention to get the Japs to attack the Sowjets in the back. Which they never did. They had deals, too. Not everyone is mad enough to fight on several fronts when he cant win the first one.

Now, Bugger Roosy was in it for the money at first, lending and leasing Drunkard Winston worth 20 atomic bomb costs. Coward Americans didnt want to fight and get their ppl killed, but when the fool declares war on you? Then you can live with 500k of your own dead. Oh yeah, Uncle Joe got some trash, too.
