Maybe if Bosh would go ahead and put on his drag things would be all different?
some some fans are saying it's because they knew the Spurs will win anyway so they don't want to watch anymore![]()

no?
go back to watching your favorite Disney movie kiddo, you don't belong here. You are boring![]()
San Antonio 1.5 million people...LA 8 million people....of course ratings are lower.
But but but everyone loves Lebron
Lebron is not organic. From day one, he's been too concerned about his image to be "real". Everything is too calculated. He's fake tough (acts all beast but flops everywhere), fake clutch (goes ham only after the game is already decided), fake caring (the "decision" was for the kids).
Nobody believes he even knows who he is. you can't fake that stuff. People see right through it. Not saying the dude can't ball, just saying.

Probably pretty poor ratings as the Spurs blew the Heat away. Hopefully the Spurs blow out the Heat again tonight to keep less idiots from watching.
What the OP fail to post is that it was only .4 from last year and last night was World Cup qualifying as well. Alot of my friends from latin american countries, who are basketball fans, were watching US, Costa Rica, Panama, Mexico play along with all the South American countries playing Tuesday night.
I was flipping between the US and Spurs game as well. Believe it or not, but soccer, especially the World Cup ,which the final has average 1 billion veiwers the past 4 WCs, is more popular than Basketball.
Watch your language.
Your unspurs-fandom shows in every single one of your posts . . .
I've still never seen a compelling argument why your typical NBA fan should ever care about TV ratings.
So, in response to the OP - your point?
Because they were sucking.
Blame the NBA...Tony Bruno once said....the reason for low ratings is because the NBA marketed Stars from big and small franchises
I think due to the advent of a bunch of cable channels...ratings are low because there is more variety....in the 1980 and 1990....cable was still analog...people decide not to watch now because there is so much crap on TV now....ad social media to the mix too. It dosent help that the NBA is in bed with ESPN.....there is always gonna be a biased opinion (gospel to big market teams to small markets)....and bad commentators who shout....just make it unwatchable.... The TNT crew do a much better job.
If the Grizzlies had made the Finals I know I might not have found that very compelling -- small market team, no marketable stars, etc. I don't see why that should have diminished the experience for Memphis fans. Ratings are not the important thing here. The Pacers would have had a similar issue. OKC does not because Durant and Westbrook are highly marketable.
The other dynamic with San Antonio is that it is one of those markets that will have some national disdain because of its reputation/demographics, and so some people will scrunch up their nose at watching a franchise from that city. People who have hang-ups with cities like Memphis or New Orleans because of the black people likely would never watch the NBA Finals under any cir stances anyway regardless of the matchup, so there is no ratings differentiator there. But cities like San Antonio (Hispanics) or Salt Lake City (Mormons) would have that differentiator.
The way I hear that expressed is by people who say something along the lines that they won't watch the Spurs because they don't think a city like that "deserves" to have a good team or to have Tim Duncan.
I think deep down many Spurs fans, especially Hispanics, know that has something to do with the national rejection of the team, which is why it is an irritant.
Boring?
And Kobe chucking all night long is fun? Go back to your Playstation, the real world of good basketball has totally escaped your primitive nerve net of a brain. And take the West Coast with you, dude...
Do you honestly think anyone here gives a fat chick's **** if anyone else likes the Spurs? Why not blame the Heat for the ratings too? Aren't James and Wade the best players of our generation? Why aren't they generating more ratings?
They had more dunks than the Heat did in Game 3. What other boring bull are you lying about?
This is expected, the Spurs are boring. After all, all they ever do is win, compete every year, have one of the greatest power forwards of all time, make players that nobody wants even better, have one of the best coaches of all time & humiliate you when you're the favorites. What a boring bunch they are
How about in Argentina, France, other parts of the world? It was the most watched game here in the Philippines since it was a holiday.![]()
Let's hope the Spurs jump out to an early 20-point lead and Game 4's ratings are even lower than Game 3's.![]()
And Los Angeles, home of the high-TV-rating Lakers, isn't known for being a Hispanic city?![]()
I don't know about the rest of you, but knowing that a bunch of billionaires might not make as much advertisement revenue as they could have were the finals pulling better ratings really just sucks the joy out of watching these games for me.
We all know what's really going on. Spurs defense is so good, not even Nielsen can score on us.
TS is full of , he didnt even list a source, multiple sources say it was highly rated, especially in the key 18-49 demographic
"ABC earned its top-rated Tuesday in nearly 1 year among Adults 18-49 – since 06/19/12."
