Are you serious? You don't think Danny's amazing shooting was a silver lining. He kind of killed that whole "playoff choker" image a lot of you guys thought he carried.
I said lone, but I meant biggest. Leonard is the biggest silver lining in the series. There were others, like Green, and like Duncan's 30 point 17 rebound game 6.

Just the fact that he took the three with under a minute left that could have given them the lead....not deferring to the Stars.

I'm not mad he missed it. I'm thrilled he had the balls to take it.

As much as I ate this year's playoff Manu, I think having him as your 5th or 6th best player means you're at a very good place. I think Kawhi is now in the REAL big 3, although Manu's still in the big 3, but more as a symbol now more than ever.

Too bad he can't get the ball against Chalmers and Mike Miller when Parker was covered by Lebron..

He can take Lebron off the dribble, but the Spurs can't give him an opportunity or 2 against Miller or Chalmers every time Parker is covered by James?..rather have Tony running around aimlessly?..
I agree with this. I'm impressed at Kawhi's one-on-one skills. We could all blame Pop for trusting the Big Three so much, but in reality, if Neal/Green didn't explode or Kawhi shrunk under the spotlight, we would've been swept. Duncan is the only consistent member of the Big Three.

hopefully pop starts to trust him more and gets him more involved in the offense. he needs to work on his ballhandling and midrange jumper in the off season.
aaaand free throws, lets not forget that haha

Can you imagine next season if Pop realizes this, and Teams can't put a longer guard on him because Kawhi will make them pay?

Tony and Kawhi would be a crazy one two punch, + Timmy

We need to get a good running partner for him. Like smith from atlanta or iggy from denver.

Kawhi was outstanding. If only he had nailed that 3, I really did think it was going down. And that gm 6 free throw. Just a shame.

    kawhi needed more touches imo
This. Hindsight is always 20/20 but seeing how successful he was in Game 7 with slashing and taking it to the hole made me believe that we have another weapon that can get into the paint and create his own shots.

Slient assassin is an understatement. He has a complete game and has great impacts on both ends of the floor.

Lets not forget he was also battling tendinitis. Kid is gonna be a beast. Lets hope the front office can surround him with real talent unlike they did with Tim.

Kawhi Leonard is the future of the Spurs. If the team builds around him, they should be back in the NBA Finals soon.

This. I don't know why they didn't go to him each time the switch was on. He went right around Le Bron a few times and I'm sure he would have abused Miller or Chalmers.

By far the brightest point of this oh-so-close run. Hopefully we`ll be able to support him as he grows and keep him here, he has spurs written all over him tbqh.

He should be a senior in college just coming into the draft. He would be a top 5 pick EASY
