Well, good for Houston. If true then this makes them a little better than last year, but still not good enough to get out of the western conference. Also give Lakers a ton more cap relief in 2014.
Honestly, trolling aside, this a big hit for the Lakers present and future. Dwight's the best big man in the game. I feel like most Laker fans unfairly criticized him last year. He was not 100% (He wasn't scheduled to come back until January) he played under 2 abnormal coaches/system who didn't utilized him and the PG who was supposed to make it all work was either busy deferring to Kobe or looking GQ on the bench.
In a league where theres a clear shortage of big man, Dwight's defensive presence alone, if healthy, is worth the max contract IMHO.
