It's funny watching Lakers fans as they cope with their best player leaving their team. Enjoy paying post achilles Bryant $30m+ for the next few years and taking Houston's spot as the perennial 9th seed.
Cping? We're the Lakers. We've lost true legends of the game and still went on to stack chips. Trust me - he ain't no legend.

Oh I get it. The Begging! is funny until truth bombs are dropped.

I said best player not legend. More rationalization I see.

Now you are left with 34 year old post achilles Bryant, Steve Nash and Jordan Farmar. Your best bet is for Bryant to not play next season and go full on tank for next years draft. I'm betting on a 10th seed myself. 14th pick in the draft.

    And you would be wrong:

    Kobe - 27/6/5.6 - PER: 23.10
    D12 - 17.1/12.4/2.4 - PER: 19.48

You are living in the past. Wakeup indeed.

DOB: August 23, 1978, 35 at the start of next season and he isn't a 7'er. If you thought Howard's back injury is bad, just wait until you see how much Bryant chucks shots this year. Even if he recovers well, he is going to lose more of that agaility and explosiveness that was obviously declining anyway. That of course assumes he plays at all.

You said D12 was the best player. I brought up this season's stats.

Anyway, we'll see what the old man has left in the tank. History says Kobe knows how to come back strong from an injury. D12? Not so much.

You lost Howard a couple of weeks ago. At that time he was the best player. When the season ended he was your best player. Right now he would be your best player.

Howard is 27 and entering his prime as the best C in the NBA.

Bryant has a history of exaggerating ankle and wrist sprains. There is a difference between a broken finger and an achilles tear.
