I would intervene, but that doesn't mean everyone would or should for that matter. The bus driver might have had a heart attack and died if he took on 3 teenagers.
And you'll research a before marrying her.

have any black teens kicked your ass yet ?
Yeah, I definitely won't be as trusting next time.
If there is a next time. At this point I'm leaning towards no.
So this nation is become apathetic and greedy like the Chinese. Soon we won't even interfere with a child abduction for the same reasons.
I think you're underestimating the strength of three 15 year old beating on you. You're also taking a chance that they pull a knife and stab you.
Tough call. I'd probably try to do what I could to shield the kid to help get him off the bus.
Of course, as soon as the other kids get off, run after him down the street, he's basically on his own.
It's a no win situation for the driver, imo. There is absolutely no obligation for him to intervene any more than had it been a 70 year old woman driving the bus.
For me it's not even a tough call, it's a no brainer. I've jumped in to help a stranger gettting jumped by 5 guys outside a bar and took some shots, I'm sure I'd make it out alive with these three 15 year olds. It appears we have a different set of morals.
So you would take the beating instead of the kid...that's brave. What if one kid started beating you and the other two continued beating the kid what would you do then?
I would know I at least tried to help.
I'm not watching a 13 year old kid get beaten to death, even if I wasn't the driver. If you're too big of a pussy or coward to put yourself in harms way to protect a child, you're a piece of anyhow.
Thank goodness society doesn't have your set of moral values or he'd be probably be charged with a crime here.
Yeah I got that. I just want to get a better idea of how you hypothetically believe you would react if you were hypothetically in a similar situation. I find pretend hero's fascinating so it would be cool if you lay out how you think you would save the day in these various pretend scenarios.
So far we have...
Pretend TSA hero scenario #1:
Fight starts and 64 yr old TSA ignores his training and school policy and instead of calling for help he rushes into the fight and allows the 3 teens to beat him unconscious thereby taking the blows for the kid. What happens after TSA is unconscious and there is no helps on the way has yet to be explored.
So come on TSA please tell us what you would pretend do in scenario #2 if only one teen started beating you and the other 2 continued beating the little kid.
And what crime would I be committing by helping a child who was getting beaten senseless Blake?
your communication skills still suck.
What's with all the hero talk? Helping a child who is getting jumped would just be the normal thing to do, especially if you are the only adult around. We've got a couple pacifist pussies in this thread.
And here would be 64 year old TSA in your hypothetical.
And what crime would I be committing by helping a child who was getting beaten senseless Blake?
None, hero.
Congrats on kicking the ball through the wrong goal post
Oh your a tough 64 year old and you beat those 3 punks asses. That's a cool story but can we stick to one pretend scenario at a time.
i highly doubt any of you could take on 3 teens at the age of 64, stop it. no telling what kind of health problems that driver had.
Haven't seen anyone talk about taking them. Trying to stop them is quite different. I hope those siding with the bus driver's actions are just a small sample and not how the rest of society would react. A kid's getting jumped and you think it's okay to just phone in to dispatch and let the rest play out. that.
What if that was your kid? Are you still okay with the bus driver's actions?
trying to stop them how? how is he supposed to stop those boys without physically removing them?
if that was my boy getting whooped like that, i'd just be thankful he wasn't seriously hurt and then i'd ask what the driver did. after seeing the driver followed policy, i'd have no problem. my issue would be with the school district for allowing the same kids my son snitched on, on that bus which placed my son at risk of the beat down. the driver isn't at fault here.
Absolutely I'm ok with the bus drivers actions.
I'm pissed at the school district though and I'm lawyering up for a of a lawsuit.
I always carry a concealed weapon, so if I was in the bus driver's position, I simply would have taken my .357 out, at which point they'd have sat the back down. It's for reasons such as this that I carry it in the first place. I'm a pacifist.
