i am a smart guy and i have a lot of pride so when i log in day in and day out and see constant racism towards blacks, i can only take so much before i bite back. its just sad nobody complains about racism on this site until a black poster is calling out a white poster. i don't get that.

Anyway back to the point, the racial epithets. It kind of struck me as ironic, because my friend's dad clearly isn't an armchair fan. The way he was talking about plays and other things, you could tell that he was really into his basketball and he knows a lot about it. So begs the question: How can someone who is racist follow a sport where 80% of the players are African-American? How can he cheer the likes of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook when they lead his team to victory but yet at the same time hold negative views about them simply because of their skin colour? It just strikes me as a ridiculous contradiction. I didn't ask my friend about it because it was pretty awkward and he seemed really ashamed about the fact his dad was racist. As an avid sports fan, I'd like some input on the subject from some people here. It's been something that has been bugging me. Do any of you watch football or basketball and follow teams with African-Americans whilst continuing to hate them?

personally I think this answer is simple and it's this....go back to Negro baseball leagues...where babe ruth and Co won all those records before they let blacks play in the league...they have to watch because they know it represents the best...white America was being opportunistic...go back and look at Jesse Owens who really opened the door for us when he embarrassed Hitler at the Olympics...and the great irony of the black white divide is that white men knew from the beginning that blacks were "likely" superior to them intellectually and physically...it's why they set out on the systematic ins utionalized endeavor to suppress blacks at a generational level....

going back further (according to my intellect and knowledge) the reason we didn't advance faster than other cultures is because of God's curse on HAM one of Noah's sons...of whom we are descendants (read the bible) parts of the gospel were written and dispersed throughout Asia Minor (including modern day Europe) having the gospel first meant faster acceleration into the evolution of the human mind...blacks were last to receive this Judeo-Christian enlightenment, therefore the first to sustain lasting oppression..this curse on HAM almost like the Adamic sin still permeates through our blood-line to this day...
