sad thing is they aren't tanking right now, just like 2005 wasn't a tank job until it was obvious Kobe was in over his head.
LkrFan just spinning everything so he doesn't have to admit Lakers are serving up another $100 million sandwich.
-8000 points, sn.... you know full well that MVPau doesn't tank!

Negative --16 as Alpha
2 rings as alpha, tbh....
Stern owes the Lakers after the CP3 debacle. Would have been nice to have CP3 and slowly kick contract killer out the back door and build a statue for him.
We actually are only 5 games out of a playoff spot but only 4 games out of the worst in the West spot ...
If we lose a few more games out of this "easy" stretch, which started with a loss to the Sixers ...
a top 5 pick is not out of the question. Especially with lack of PG depth, kobe's injury and if we trade Pau
David $tern will fix the lotto for the Lakers before he leaves, tbh.
The #1 draft pick will go to the Lakers.
Now they can't even beat the Bucks at home? Not worried here.

We going lotto for sure. They should go ahead and
- Trade MVPau to the Cavs for Baby Drew/Earl Clark and 2015 1st
- Waive Baby Drew before 7 Jan 2014
- Convince Nash to medically retire, then stretch his contract for 3yrs/$3M+
- Convince Kobe to chase MJ's scoring total next year
- Roll with the youngins to see who is worth keeping next year

Once they go lotto, here is my wish list in order of preference:
- Jabari Parker
- Embiid
- Randle
- Wiggins
- Smart
Stern screwed us over in the CP3 botched trade fiasco, so he better fix the lotto so that we get one of the above young studs in next year's draft.![]()
Lakers deserve to pick 2 players with 1 pick this year imo
A bit premature here, but my dream of landing either Parker, Embiid, Randle, Wiggins or Smart on a cheap rookie contract are looking good. I present to you farmers, the "Tank Standings"
1. Milwaukee.........7-24....--
2. Utah...............10-24...1.5
3. New York..........9-21...2.5
4. Philadelphia......9-21...2.5
5. Brooklyn.........10-21...3.0
6. Orlando...........10-21...3.0
7. Cleveland........10-21...3.0
8. Sacramento.....10-20...3.5
9. Chicago...........12-18...5.5
10. Lakers.........13-19...6.5
11. Memphis.......13-17...7.5
12. Denver..........14-16...8.5
13. New Orleans..14-15..9.0
14. Minnesota.....15-16...9.0
Only 6.5 games better than the worst team (who just "beat" us BTW) which increases the chances of the Lakers landing a stud in next year's draft.

Next game will be vs Utah, you better lose that one.
With no PG, no Kobe and a Pau trade looming Lakers, Lakers could POTENTIALLY finish behind ALL of those teams:
sans the Bucks and Jazz ...
Every year it's the same thing. Every year the draft lottery doesn't produce a game changer and really hasn't done much since Lebron.
Yay so you guys can get help below the salary cap and save that money you weren't concerned about last week. Oh but I forgot, you have half your salary cap already going to a crippled. If you drafted a player as good as Jordan Hill you'd be lucky, but you won't.
A couple things:
1. Happy New year, DMC I hope whatever fuels your caustic wit is healthy and not out of a place of pain ....
2. I agree as much as I like parker or admire the raw athleticism of Wiggins or Exum neither is Lebron ...
3. Lebron just turned 29 he is abeast one of the greatest I have ever seen ... if not the greatest ...but it won't last. for the Lakers or any other team with le hopes you want to be in position to contend in the next few years ...Being a le contender right now is pointless. He is just too good. (yet spurs still had him deads to rights)
4. I agree we paid Kobe too much but we weren't winning it this year or next anyway. Lakers need to determine if Hill, Henry Meeks or Johnson are keepers.
5. We suck I get it. enjoy while it lasts. I just ask that this team competes which they have done until the run of PG injuries and that we get a top pick which it seems like we will because of the PG injuries ...
We will draft a good player. the next Lebron? No but how often does a "Lebron/Kobe/Duncan type become available? Kobe wasnt expected to be Kobe heck even Paul George was drafted at a spot outside of top5 that proves many did not expect him to be a top 5 NBA player.
Jabarior or wiggins doesnt need to be Lebron, because Lebron's reign will end in the next few years ... if we get either and he is Paul George that is fine. Plus Lebron as a top pick pretty much s on all top picks of the last 20 years tbh. Not even the better ones like Rose or Dwight are anywhere close to Lebron. duncan is the last top pick you could even CONSIDER arguing could of been taking ahead of James. And that INCLUDES a pre-injury Greg Oden.

DH12 not a game-changer? At least defensively?
Not in LA. Imagine if Lebron went to LA that year instead. So it's Lebron, Kobe, Nash, Gasol and Artest. Imagine that. Howard is a "get out of jail free" card for the opponent in close games, because he's just an intentional foul away from a change of possession.
