I live in San Antonio and work indoors. I don't own a scarf or a pair of gloves that I would wear in public. If I'm going to be doing any work around the house I have a coat and old work gloves. Otherwise I just wear a light jacket.
From SA, lived in Houston for the last 10 years. Moved to London this summer. Never had a need for a scarf. Now I'm starting a collection. Mainly because my blood is water-thin and this place is cold, but over here they are a functional fashion statement. Most dudes wear them.
Over here they are a way of life. Breaking out your winter fashion gear for the one week of cold weather in South Texas seems manufactured. And if you wear them all the time even when not needed, you may be dude who knows way too much about fashion and hairstyles...

I tend to lose scarves so don't use them but will wear one for fashion and if the wife gives me one.
Who wears a scarf around their ears? I wrap it around my neck and mouth area but never all the way to my ears.
It was 26° this morning when I left the house; I wore a scarf and dress coat over my suit.. I Didn't know "men didn't like to wear scarves", but I'll definitely wear one if the weather requires it.

bruh, i learned from ST that if you wear cologne or wear nice clothes, you're .
There isn't really a need for a scarf out here in L.A., but since it is a fashion hub and trendy as all you will see a number of dudes with scarves on. I like seeing the ladies wear them as they usually rock them in a cute way. I own one but the weather really doesn't warrant one used for functionality.
It's a wool one, warm as . I'd buy a cashmere one, but it just doesn't get cold enough for long enough down here.
this is true.
To all the haters, read a little bit on the manliness of the scarf:
