Not surprised Meeks can go off for 42 in a game. I mean, MVPau just makes life so much easier for perimeter players.

Look at it this year, even Nick Young averaged about 17 ppg, and his per 36 is almost 2 points more than his previous career high.

And Meeks? He's averaging over 15 ppg, while his previous career high was a little over 10 ppg, and his per 36 is almost 3 points over his previous career high.

Then there's Kent Bazemore, averaging almost 15 ppg since joining the Lakers when he was averaging 2.3 ppg with the warriors, in the same year!

MVPau has made life so much easier for his perimeter teammates, just the ultimate teammate for them. If you are a perimeter player and want to get a good contract, sign a one year deal playing next to MVPau, stack up great stats, then sign for an inflated deal and be set for the rest of your career.

Ignoring the change in the entire frontline and attributing the change in the Lakers from first round fodder (or non-playoff team) to a championship team to Kobe being better was just absolute stupidity.

What kind of logic is this? If he was shooting more, passing less, and trying to do it on his own makes him better? I mean who was he going to pass to? Kwame? Smush? Cook? Stop amb. Kobe had teammates, not great teammates, but enough support to get a supposed top 10 player of all time to the playoffs, and now you are trying to say that Smush, Cook and Kwame were his only teammates? Please, just stop.

And since when is passing more and shooting less the sign of greatness? If that is the case, John Stockton is better than any player who ever played. I would like to have Muggsy Bogues on your all time team over Jordan, because Bogues "shot less and passed more".

If anything, that Suns series, in that game in particular where Kobe refused to shoot, showed the true character of Kobe, and whether he really valued winning over everything.

Since when did I try to ban anyone? I don't have the authority nor do I have the desire. I voted ban Kool just to show that he was even LESS funny and brings in even LESS points than you do, which is a pretty hard thing to do to begin with.
