I'm really surprised Kobe doesn't come back. It's not like he'd hurt the Lakers lottery chances, since he's no longer an impact player and would get torched on defense like the rest of the scrubs on the Lakers.

He could come back, average a quiet 18-20 points a game and move up on the all-time scoring list, which I know is important to him.

I think he quit because he doesn't want yet another "failure to make the playoffs" on his resume.
