No one is saying or thinks he was but that doesn't matter.
But he knew Tiago was right there. He reared his head back and kicked out of frustration.
They had to because they suspended Bowen for his kick back in the day to ruin his iron man streak.

it's a good excuse. they would have won game 4 had he not gotten ejected cuz he was fukin us up
Of course he knew Tiago was there. Tiago was temporarily laying on his leg. It's my perception that Blair was frustrated (at the foul call) & amped. A motion as if to say, get off me. I don't think he aimed for the head & I don't think you know whether I believe the ejection or suspension were warranted, now do you?

Harsh decision. Wasnt' that big an action by Blair.
I didn't even think he should have been ejected, so this suspension is certainly very harsh. What he did didn't even seem intentional.
Dirk whacking Manu's arms looked worse to me...
Good. It wasn't much of a kick, but I'll take any advantage we can get. He deserves it just for being a bag.. I mean really? Who kicks a former teamate for no good reason anyways?
Those of you saying this is bad for the Spurs are DELUSIONAL.
If Blair stays in game 4 WE LOSE.
12 minutes - 12 points 11 rebounds
It was a serious blowout before Blair took over.
Did you watch that play. Lebron was going up and GOT PUSHED in the back in to McRoberts. I believe McRoberts was going to wrap Lebron up by the chest to prevent him from getting the shot off like he said. But he didn't expect his teammate to push Lebron in to him. Watch the replay again. Its clear as day that most of the force of the contact came from Lebron being pushed from behind.
Blair OTH, just kicked out and hit Tiago in the head. Based on the league rules, that is grounds for suspension. It was a non basketball play as well.
Pure uncut hore . Bruce Lee Bowen used kick people all the time. Did he ever get suspended in the playoffs as a Spur? Doubtful. SMDH
Citation from a playoff game needed.
You know it's not true. Bowen may have been dirty, but never pulled a Rodmanesque stunt, kicking or punching someone in the HEAD, outright, after a dead ball. He may have kicked someone's legs off of him in a scrum. He may have given a "kick to the face" during game action while flying out wildly to block a shot (plausible deniability). However, you can't cite an example of a similar kick to the head after a pile up; that is why you will not cite an example. Bowen usually operated under the guise of plausible deniability, during game action. He never kicked anyone in the HEAD, after a play while on the floor after a scrum. And, what makes your example worse, is that Bowen WAS suspended, in my opinion for a far less aggressive action. Definitely not a strike to the head during a scrum.
While the head-butt on Lebron may have deserved a punishment befitting the offense, throwing fist punches and kicks are well-codified in the rule-book. It is simply not allowed. The league takes striking seriously. They don't want more Rudy Tomjanovich or "Malice in the Palace". Every reasonable player knows this.
Blair knew this. It is why he "pulled his punch" (kick), but he was too late.
I am amazed at the people saying that it was "inadvertent". I can only imagine that they are trying to be forgiving, consciously or subconsciously, as he didn't deal a hard blow, but the kick was obviously thrown with intent. You pull your SINGLE leg out with force as a reaction. You kick back with both feet as an aggression.
OJ is still looking for the REAL Killers.
Hopefully just hopefully, this throws off their rotation and chemistry. Blair being suspended has no effect on the outcome of the series. He was not going to have another performance like game 4.
Blair suspended for game 5?...

I don't agree with this suspension but it is what it is. Good for us I guess.
Not really warranted, but BFD. Non issue. No impact at all.
the fix is in. silver wants the spurs to be the face of the league obv.
Poor Blair, he was having the game of his life on national TV. Then he gets ejected!!!! On national TV!!!
We'll have to wait for Game 6 to see him go off again. Poor Blair.
No he definitely did. Think 2008 playoff series against New Orleans. He gave Chris Paul a little kick in the head during a scuffle. I don't remember which game but I remember the incident pretty clearly.
if it weren't for him they lose by 40,and it doesn't get close
if there was no suspension these "accidents" would get more common, until someone got really injured from it
