Longer this series goes the more it favors Blazers IMO. Spurs need to send a strong message starting Game 1.

I am sure both SA & MIA watched how the away teams came out swinging. Hopefully that is enough of a reminder about how they need to come out focused. Not just POR, who's been outstanding on the road in the playoffs, but all road teams have done a great job for the most part.

Can we please get this thread to stick at top & make it auto refresh - how many memo's do I have to leave after our daily meetings?

Fabulous preview by Zach Lowe (as usual) ......The Spurs are loath to double-team in the post, and way too smart to abandon corner shooters in order to challenge Aldridge 20-footers. They’ll do a bit of both just to mix things up, and that’s part of what makes Aldridge a scheme-buster.
The Mavs’ offense, the league’s best after the All-Star break, sliced San Antonio apart using Nowitzki’s shooting and heady playmaking from their collection of veteran guards. Portland might not be quite as deep in speedy perimeter playmakers, but they’ve got four who can do damage and plenty of 3-point shooting.
The Blazers have the tools to win this series. So do the Spurs. This should be fun. The Spurs have been a hair better all season, they’re deeper, and they have home-court advantage.
PREDICTION: SPURS IN SEVEN
its really funny reading their forums, 80% of them think the matchup with Aldridge is Duncan.. Splitter is so underrated, partially because of that Bran block in finals
these daily meetings don't seem to be very effective tbh... they did not seem to have received the memo about kool
i'm so scared of pop blowing game 1 away by putting Splitter on Lopez, Duncan on LMA, Parker on Lillard and Kawhi on Matthews and only switching by 3rd quarter with game over
He's so edgy!

BLAZERS by 32 tbqh. Lillard with 12 3pointers and Aldridge with 50 easy points
Double LaMarcus or defend 3pt line?
I cannot wait to see Pop's decision.
Let Aldridge score 82 for all I care, just no threes
Yep. Let Aldridge get his. Keep Lillard off the three pt line. Splitter and Diaw will make it as difficult as possible on LA.
I agree.. let aldridge shoot the jumper.. doubling wont stop the quick step back jumper anyways... you only double if the guy is going to get to the rim easily.
Seconded. He's terrible.
I'm interested to see how Marco comes out. Hopefully he shakes it off and realizes he can start fresh.
20 pt win. Our boys will toy with them for a bit though.
Boris will be the x factor
