Answer the question. The NBA and its fans and stone throwers did not like what the er said so that means his gets destroyed right? That means he has to lose something that he bought with his own money? Yes or no? Answer. Don't deflect.
He's getting a billion dollars out of it... if that's what passes for "life destroying," then sign me up....

Think of it this way - Sterling bought a franchise, not a standalone business....
If, say, a McDonald's franchise owner does something to harm the reputation of the company (i.e. labor violations, failure to keep the restaurant sanitary, etc.) then they can and do get their franchises revoked and are forced to sell....
Likewise, Sterling has harmed the reputation of the NBA for decades with his racism, his barebones cheap methods of ownership, and his involvement in high-profile housing discrimination cases.... finally, this tape was the last straw that made the league realize once and for all he had to go.... in that regard, he absolutely does deserve to lose his franchise....
As for the rest of his life, he's still going to be set for life financially, and he ruins his own reputation every time he speaks in public, so I have zero sympathy for him....
So if you bought some office space in your hometown and created a small business and this happened to you, should you be forced to sell your business? Yes or no.
Sterling has hurt the NBA? He has helped them in the last month tremendously. Just think of all the attention the Clippers are getting because of the race baiting.
If Sterling has to lose the Clippers, then everyone that has ever said anything stupid in their life must lose something that is important to them.
I just crack up at the holier than thou mentality in American society.
That's a different situation, as I'd be the owner of the business, not an owner of a franchise.... I wouldn't be subject to the commissioner and other owners' rules because it would just be me....
He already cost the franchise all their corporate sponsors and he will cost them their players and coach if allowed to stay.... that's a bad thing for the NBA....Sterling has hurt the NBA? He has helped them in the last month tremendously. Just think of all the attention the Clippers are getting because of the race baiting.
Additionally, the negative headlines and PR disaster he is creating have been overshadowing the playoffs - you really think the league is happy with that?
Terrible logic and an obvious slippery-slope fallacy....If Sterling has to lose the Clippers, then everyone that has ever said anything stupid in their life must lose something that is important to them.
Another thing people are ignoring - as owner, Sterling signed multiple moral and ethical contracts over the years that his actions have breached.... that's the real reason he's ed in court and doesn't have a leg to stand on![]()
Clipbandwagonnation, you're a hypocrite. You are saying that it's okay for you to say racist things or have those feelings because you don't own an NBA team. You think that gives you a free pass just like everyone else. I wouldn't be surprised if all of these stone throwers have said worse than Sterling yet their lives aren't destroyed. Hypocrisy.
I'm saying that if I were an NBA owner, I'd make damn sure to follow the terms and conditions of the contracts and league cons ution I agreed to, otherwise, I'd be at risk of losing the team....
Sterling accepted this risk when he bought the team, so he doesn't deserve any sympathy for taking the risk and losing.... end of story....
Still a hypocrite but you're a Clippers fan so not much of a surprise. Hopefully your team loses in 6 to Methcity so we don't have to hear anymore about the oppressed Clippers of Los Angeles.
got Silver rushing to ics defense.
I'd like to see what AC Flamer does with tonights ic interview regarding:
“I’m hurt that he called me up and he said don’t do anything,” Sterling told CNN. “[He said], ‘Wait until you hear from me.’ Then someone called me later and said he doesn’t want to be involved. And then he released the tape I sent to him. That I talked to him in confidence.”
My guess is AC won't bring it up and/or ic will deflect the question.
