The call was correct (come on, it's definitely a charge) but I wonder why the ref took a split second more to make the charge call. Maybe he just wanted to see the ball go in?
Read the rule book. If a player commits an offensive foul, his shot will not be counted even if he does it for 1 million times
Why wasn't it called when it occurred then? I like how the ref waited to see if the basket was made first.
they stop teaching math in Texas?
YEAH, HE DID. But they didn't run a bunch of replays like they do on most horrible calls. They probably got a call in their earpiece from the producer to shut up.
at anybody defending that call.
In case you don't watch the Spurs play, that is Mills' natural 3 ball form. He follows through with his right leg going forward, if that was the correct call then Patty should just retire because he does it every time he puts up a catch-and-shoot 3. There was absolutely nothing even close to abnormal about that shot, and anyone who claims otherwise is either trolling or an idiot.
reggie miller said he was surprised because it was all natural
even if patty extended his legs the shot according to rules should have counted
reggie knew what was going on that's why......even the thunder fans knew there was screwjob going on
I read the rule book.
Reggie Miller says that motion is normal. Who's to say he's right or wrong? If that swaying motion of the foot after a 3 is "normal," then it's incidental contact.1. Incidental Contact
The mere fact that contact occurs does not necessarily cons ute a foul. Contact which is incidental to an effort by a player to play an opponent, reach a loose ball, or perform normal defensive or offensive movements, should not be consid-ered illegal. If, however, a player attempts to play an opponent from a position where he has no reasonable chance to perform without making contact with his opponent, the responsibility is on the player in this position. The hand is considered "part of the ball" when it is in contact with the ball. Therefore, contact on that hand by a defender while it is in contact with the ball is not illegal.
RASCAL IS A LAKER FAN PRETENDING TO BE A SPURS FAN, IGNORE HIM, DONT FALL FOR HIS TROLLING
HE SAYS HE HATES THE SPURS FANS AND HOPES WE LOSE EVERY GAME
rascal is clinically re ed. I suggested he kill himself in a prior thread but the second best option would be to get him therapy.
Not really. Looked like pretty much a natural extension to me. Perhaps a slight extend by Mills, but why, what did he have to gain?
Durant on the other hand with the obvious flop.
Oh. SpursTalk Multiprofile at it again. Okay.![]()
That's a pretty bad play. It should probably have been a 4-point play or no call.
All those 4-point plays are part of what led to this call being made. The league has probably come down on these refs saying there have been too many 4-point plays and telling them to look to see if maybe the contact is being caused by the offensive players.
Ridiculous some gots making that out to be anyrhingless than a bs call
Lol. Most charges occur after the shot. The rule is if ANOTHER offensive player fouls after the shot, then it still counts.
I think Durant sold the call (accidentally), but it's not a horrible call. It should have been a no-call, but it is what it is.
lol I like the spurs fan at the front callin for the and-1
Doesn't look like he was going out of his way to draw a foul. Many, many offensive players do more than that to draw a foul and they GET IT, they don't get a foul on themselves and their basket waived off. Durant was flying at him.
The best case scenario for Durant should have been a no call.
after kevin durant mvp speech, refs dont want him to cry again
I hope we are not crying next week
