So did this injury become official or is it still just a rumor?
Glad he played through it. Hopefully just a little arthroscopic cleanup of his labrum and nothing major. May be a little coupon for the Spurs.
So did this injury become official or is it still just a rumor?
Today's Sydney Morning Herald ran a story about Patty and Exum playing in the World Championships this summer. Maybe ST knows more than the Boomer's coach does?

Good summer to take it easy and regroup for next year!
He gave himself repeated pats on the back.
A shoulder injury has forced a devastated Patrick Mills to withdraw from Australia's world cup campaign as the NBA championship-winner faces up to seven months out of action.
Fairfax Media can reveal Mills will have surgery in the coming days to repair the rotator cuff in his right shoulder.
just saw that. Horrible timing for him.
Man that's turrble. He's gotta stay a Spur now.
7 months wow... Sucks for him I guess, wonder what will happen now...
Really bad timing for Patty. Going to cost him millions.
Only good news is that the spurs can get him back. Gutted for Patty. Deserved a pay day.
I think spurs still take care of him.
Wow 7 months, that means back in Jan or Feb 2015.
That would certainly kill some interest from teams which are interested in Patty.
Take care of him and get him ready for after the All-Star Break.
Horrible news for one of my favorite players. I hope the Spurs still pay him his worth and retain him. Kid did so much last year to spur the Spurs' chances.
Poor bas , feel devastated for him. Hopefully the spurs will still retain him at a fair price. I'm guessing PATFO will still offer him the figure they were going to all along. Which is fair, not overpaid.
Although different cir stances (injury vs looming lockout), this reminds of the TP situation. I think the Spurs and Patty will find a happy medium and get a deal done that reflects reality but also takes care of Patty.
Well it's so late that you can't let his spot vacant...
True, and no wonder the Spurs have interest in other PGs for now.
I originally thought this was a horse thread but looks like it was true after all. Well, I feel for the guy but still think we need to keep him around. We can use the first half of the season to bring Cojo along I guess.
Yep, nothing but overreaction and fear mongering, right guys?![]()
This is terrible but if the Spurs keep him hopefully he comes back strong for them in the final stretches of the season. He might come back strong like Fisher did for the Lakers in '01 when he was sidelined for most of the year with an stress fracture injury and came back the final month or two of the regular season.
I gotta think that it will be best for Mills and the Spurs to do only a 1 or 2 year deal. I also would have to think the decision to draft a PG in Anderson played a part in the Spurs contingency plan because no doubt the Spurs knew the severity of the injury for quite sometime.
Who's going to wave the towel now? (not that he did much of it last year)
Great take, as per usual.
