Not quite, tbh.
Tony showed a lot of leadership in 2014 and didn't throw the ball around the arena. I love Manu, but Tony is a more consistent player.
You are absolutely right that our bench was superior this year and that made the biggest difference. That, and Miami really playing like they didn't care, except for LeBron.
It was a team loss last year and a team win this year.
Manu will always get the blame for why the Spurs don't win the championship (whether it was from an injury or mistake) even though it's a team game and not enough credit for if we win.
Says a lot about st posters who need a scapegoat after winning the damn finals.
I think TP had one of his best playoffs because we weren't overly dependent on him and yet he was still able to get his numbers. I'm pretty sure he was our leading scorer in the Finals/playoffs. I think he was the best at picking his spots to attack this playoffs. That made us extremely difficult to defend.
And if your Aunt had balls, she'd be your uncle.
What if Ray Allen had been called for traveling?![]()
Then we'd be talking about how Parker won the championship by himself against Manu and the Heat
Cool, tell San Antonio to save on cap space and fire everyone else but Tony. If he can win it all alone, everyone else.
