It's just the first game IMO, it's a feeling-out process with this veteran but newly-assembled squad. Now if they reach game 20 and Blatt still doesn't have a clue how to run an offensive set, then it's time to throw him back to a Russian gulag.

That was one of my biggest issues with the Cavs; Love cannot play the 5. If Varejao gets hurt they have no one to man the middle. It also doesn't help that Lebron lost weight and can't slide in at the 4 as easily to help alleviate some of their post defense issues.
Imo LeBron can still play the 4. He lost weight so he can blitz the opposing 4's with his speed. I bet he didn't significantly lose his upper body strength so he can still back them down and use his speed. Other teams don't have a legit threat to counter LeBron at the 4 anyway, except maybe San Antonio, Chicago, Anthony Davis or if when Oklahoma City plays Durant at 4.
But yeah they need another serviceable big aside from Love. Tristan Thompson isn't going to cut it
