It just wasn't Dirk it was the whole f'in Mavs. 98 FTs, let me repeat, 98 FTs in TWO GAMES. The least fouling team in the NBA that year giving up 98 FTs in TWO GAMES. Both games the Spurs should have won and swept the Mavs, but the ref fixed that series so the Mavs could win and Cuban would stop ing.
Ur thread got deleted cause u ain't the whitemamba, mods know not to delete my .
If you refer to the games 2 & 3 of the 2006 WCSF, it weren't 98, it were 93 FT. At least be correct. And if you take the total amount, Dallas shot less FT than SA. Truth hurts, huh?
Mavs: 28, 43, 50, 32, 19, 20, 31 = 223
Spurs: 30, 37, 32, 32, 31, 34, 39 = 235
Free throw numbers don't have to be even between teams for a game to be called fairly. That's horrible logic. Game 3 of that series was one of the most poorly officiated games that I've ever seen, and that 6th foul call on Duncan was one of the worst calls that I'd ever seen. The Mavs got absolutely hosed in the Finals that year though. Karma, I guess...
Despite all of the terrible officiating, that 06 matchup was the best playoff series I've ever seen. So much drama, tension, and genuine disdain between the 2 teams. Those two teams were basically even, and neither one could stop the other. Just came down to a few bounces/unlucky breaks for the Spurs. Manu loosing the ball in the last second of game 3, Timmy's game-winner missing in game 4 followed by Terry's miracle rainbow in OT, then Manu's stupid foul in game 7 followed by Timmy cramping up and going 1-7 in OT after dominating the whole game. What could have been...
I called that out when I watched it. How is that not a fine?
He's a dirty and annoying player, but I can't comment on his sexual preference...not sure why anyone would care, tbh.
This one still cracks me up. Has to be one of the most ridiculous NBA flops of all time..."The Heliflopter!"
