Yeah, keep taking your least efficient shot porker. That will keep the defense honest.![]()

I remember that sequence, and it was a pivotal to the victory.
Tp still has these flashes in him, like when he hit that shot with Lebron flying over him.. Or even in game 6, after headbandless Lebron had shot his load, and Tp came up with 5 points that should have iced a championship.
It reminds me of an interview with Kobe I think, where he said he knew how many dunks he had left in his legs, so he had to start utilizing them for max benefit.
Parker probably has 5 burst plays in a game, so gotta make them count.
He was lucky on some of those rebounds, but fortune favors those that put themsleves in advantageous positions and are aware.
Spurs made plays across the board.
"gritty"
Euphemism for TP's play
This is exactly right. Pop rarely gets mad at players for shooting, but he quite often berates players for not taking open shots. Parker's midrange shots were, for the most part, open and in the flow of the offense.
If Parker really was making consistently bad decisions, Pop would bench him.
True Grit...TP aka Rooster Cogburn!
