Went and tried El Chivito today. I actually went to another torta ahogada joint called Ro-Ho Pork & Bread first and they were ing sold out. But I thought El Chivito was pretty badass, loved the bread and carnitas. I guess because I'm white the guy looked at me like I was nuts when I ordered the extra hot. It was hot but not overly so even with the whole bag dumped on the bread and the insides. Good barbacoa too. I'll definitely be back there, though I'll still try Ro-Ho Pork sometime too, I'll just make sure to phone the order in next time.

The tortas ahogadas on Ro-Ho look pretty good. I'm gonna have to check them out sometime as well.
