True but it's not like he did anything on the defense end
I'm fine with iggy,
One LeBron is the true mvp but having him win mvp would be insulting, being dragged out during celebration would be so beta.
If it was a new player like Anthony Davis then I'd say let him win fmvp as a loser if he deserves it. LeBron doesn't need these half awards though. Having a new player win it is good for the league. Having LeBron highlight his bad finals record is dumb..
Similarly curry won the mvp but played poorly by his own standards in the finals. He's a victim of his own success and of being compared to LeBron.
Awarding it to iggy is close to awarding it for team.
The award to iggy can also be seen as a lifetime achievement award. The guy paid his dues but got stuck in crap Philly during his prime.
Finally,, for those who want a playoffs mvp, I disagree. It cheapens the regular mvp. It could highlight a loser like LeBron who is clearly the mvp but was slacking during the season. Do we want to reward slackers like that?
To me fmvp is a award. Seems to me player fans want it to stand for more because of a certain player and another certain player.

Disagree. Iggy played point forward for a good stretch of the series. His defense is largely responsible for LeBron's inefficiency. Against most other guys LeBron goes for 50+ with that historic usage rate.
Iguodala's entire offense plays off Curry getting doubled and tripled, tbh..
Let's run down the list of player injured at the end of the season or in the playoffs that do make a major impact for their team: Gasol, Conley, Beverly, Durant, Parker, and Paul
OKC didn't make the playoffs because of Durant's injury.
GSW benefited from the Beverly (yes, he is top 5 defensive PG in the league) being out and Conley's injury worsening during the Grizz series and Gasol getting injured as well. GSW would have lost to Memphis otherwise.
GS benefits from Varajeo and Irving being out as well for the Cavs.
GS had injury draw on their side for sure during this run. No way is it going to be like this next year for them.
His scoring is primarily dependent on curry, yes, but to his credit he knocked the shots down, was a great playmaker, and defended Lebron as well as humanly possible. He was their best overall player in the series, but Curry is obviously the playoff MVP. Same happened to Timmy in 2007 and 2015. Timmy probably should've gotten it in 2007 regardless.
Iguodala's o comes from curry
just like green comes from point guard or someone else setting him up
without iggy taking on lebron defensive duties
where would curry lead his t eam in the finals to?
