According to DraftExpress he only shot 20 jump shots (presumably last year, not over 4 years) and his free throw percentage has gone down every year for the past 3 years as his attempts have increased. I doubt his jump shot is legit.
Portsmouth is Seniors only, no? As he's playing grown men, I'd say R.C liked his rebounding etc. They saw something.
RC commented that he had a nice shooting stroke, so they must at least see potential when it comes to his jumper.
tbh Lady Calanne looks like he needed some special help to pass his classes. might have a touch of the re in him.
He'll get along just fine with Kiwi then.
so we only drafted one guy to the team this year..
Probably not even that

UMass forward Cady Lalanne shot up Spurs' board after impressive workout this week. Second-rounder will play on Spurs' Summer League team.
Those are su ious twitter accounts. His and the other spurs draft pick seem like they were just made or run by someone else. He was using @lac 25 or something like that.
Who cares, we won't remember this guy in 2 months
And he also just followed the first round draft pick too.![]()
We need guys to fill out the roster if all our money goes to signing Aldridge and bringing Green, Manu and Tim back.
You just described most of the people on this forum tonight.
Anyway, this guy has size. If he plays well enough in the SL, there is no reason he can't at least be an Ayers replacement.
I actually watched UMass quite a bit. LaLanne is very athletic, a good defender, good around the rim, and can shoot from the outside. I heard he blew the Spurs away at a workout earlier this week too.
And he's also a good kid, soft-spoken, and very mature playing all 4 years in College and being 23. He's a hard worker too -- he just created a twitter account tonight -- so you know where his priorities lie. At #55 you couldn't have picked a better player IMO.
Foreign, huge wingspan, undersized, unforeseen...very Spurs
Nice footwork against the small dudes and doubles. Don't know if the moves are good enough for the NBA, but the PnR stuff might translate nicely. Will look around to find more face up shots.
Hope he's right, it sounds like he didn't show it in college. If he can shoot it as well as the Spurs think he can then he could be a steal at #55 with his size
Spurs All-length team
Green
Kawhi
Anderson
Lalanne
Duncan
All 7'3"+ wingspan except Green, who has 6'11". Not a good team but crazy long.
