No, she's a trans woman who lives full time as a woman, public or private. Not all trans women get, or can afford to get, genital surgery.

On the other hand, like most trans women who have begun treatment, she is on hormone therapy, which includes a regimen of testosterone blockers and estrogen. This is not a thing men do; it makes the body biochemically female.

Of course part of it was a ratings grab, ESPN is in the business of drawing viewers, they weren't going to pass up an opportunity to draw a high number for their typically irrelevant awards show..it doesn't change the fact that Caitlyn is a hero to thousands of Transgenders that were afraid to reveal themselves in public prior to her act..
