I figured y'all would Gino me and idgaf. Some people like Gino> parker. Most people like both though. You can't really use Gino to on Tony because they don't play the same position, don't play the same style, and don't directly compete. I maintain that parker had the better career, Gino better player. Thus my original statement is correct. Parker is the better spurs guard since he played a more central role in the offense. But I'll give you 2005 etc as Gino years. Basically, parker has a longer prime period and was more dependable.
There is a consensus among fans and reporters regarding their roles...

Many of the Parker haters are like Tiger Woods wanting a hotter wife. Is he the best, maybe not but he's been pretty darn good for us over the years (last year excluded). We have been very blessed to witness what we've witnessed and you still have people griping that it should have been more. How about we be thankful and look on in admiration because it's been a fun ride. The good, bad, and sometime ugly. I still appreciate what the Spurs have done over the last 15+ years. to Tim, Tony, and Manu.

It's amazing, all those individual accolades but the team played better without him in crucial game 6.

That was a once in lifetime scenario. You can't expect the team to play that way every year and indeed this year the bench didn't bail us out much.

When he was out earlier Duncan picked up the slack. In the 2014 finals we had multiple people raising the bar.

If it were so simple that benching parker =championship then I'd imagine the coach would try that?

To say the Tony Parker was the reason the Spurs didn't win between 2007 and 2014 was because solely of TP is ridiculous.

By played better you mean they won one game where he sat out for a half in overtime (almost choked away the lead in the 4th quarter), but won 3 other games in the series where he played the whole game. Good logic.

Advertising that you added someone to your ignore list is like... well it's like being stupid as .

Do you think anyone gives a if they are added to YOUR ignore list? How does it affect anyone but you?

It doesn't. So shut up about it and grow up already.
Well it's worth it just for this kind of meltdown if anything. BTW I didn't add you (I thought I'd mention it since it's apparently so important to you).

What's the point in announcing you have someone on ignore? I get putting them there but announcing it seems a bit egotistical, as if the forum is about you.

Parker played only 19 of 53 minutes, other 3 games weren't the crucial game 6, the final game of the series. Logic and facts.

well it was his team during those years

you want to be franchise player with keys to the team comes with a responsibility...

if he wont accept the blame then u clowns are putting him on the same level as kirby who only blames team mates for every fail while only accepting all the glory
I have never subscribed to this notion of 'his or anybody's team'. Not even Tim's because nothing is forever. The success of this team past and present has always been its "TEAM" approach. Nor has been 'blame' been necessary or required because it really doesn't correct errors or mistakes made nor does it change what has happened when they occur. The success of the Spurs has been continuity and consistency over the long haul. It works in any sport from a Jerry Sloan, Tom Landry, Coach K, etc. It will work without a Tim Duncan as well. This team has had the fewest "lotto teams" since the ABA merger than any team in the NBA for a reason and has had its screw-ups as well but the culture of winning has been paramount to the 'individual' IMO. It's was a financial imperative in the past. As to "Kirby", any comparison to Tony is moot as their behaviors and play are opposite an so many levels but if "blame" has to be apportioned to float your boat, so be it. Failures generally speaks for itself and has always been self evident and a part of any sport. So mote it be. Agree to disagree.

    I'm sure you can.

Tony Parker has four championships (and is very close to more.)

Your great great grandchildren will be dead of old age before the Clippers have four championships.
