I used to think Shaq was being jealous and petty (well I am sure he still was) but starting to see some merit in Shaq's criticisms of Howard.
Shaq was right; Dwight's a major diva and a team cancer.

if you think that's directed at Harden in any way...

The guy has given effort on D for the better part of the last 2 1/2 years. Not gonna change any time soon.

Seems an empty threat. Unless he is talking defensively Harden plays hard ...problem is he also parties hard too ...
Harden doesn't play hard at all. His game is as lazy as it gets. Moves for the sole purpose of drawing cheap fouls and stopping the flow of the game, lazy stepback jumpers, and not to mention the almost nonexistent defensive effort.

I honestly can't believe I'm saying this, but watching Harden's ass and Wade's fat cat at ude makes me long for the days of prime Kobe and AI. The SG position is absolutely pathetic in today's NBA.

Shaq is still an insecure child, but he's usually right when he comments on big men. To this day if Dwight had a solid righty hook and ran the floor with purpose to seal his man, he'd average 20+ ppg easily. He's just too stupid and/or lazy to do it, which has been Shaq's gripe with him since day 1.

Why? Thibs is overrated, he's Doc 2.0. Dude choked every year in the weak East and has won nothing without that stacked 2008 Celtics roster. He would be exposed in the West just like Doc has been.
His best player went from being 2015 Westbrook to being 2016 Parker, what was he supposed to win other than in 2011 when the Bulls got smashed by Prime LeBron, Prime Wade, and Prime Bosh?

CN your a stat guy right? Werent the rockets one of the highest scoring offenses last year? I think they were #6 at like 105 or something a game. If they can figure out how to defend, its a good lookin combo. Rockets are pretty deep and w/ Dwight ariza and Beverly, they are primetime defensive players, cept dwert who has lost a step it seems.
They were 6th in points per game, but that's pretty deceptive, since they run a gimmicky offense that works in the regular season but gets exposed against good playoff defenses (just look at what the Warriors did to them last year). They were actually improving on defense last year because Harden was actually trying on that end of the court, in the regular season at least.

Thing is, though, Thibs doesn't have a clue on how to coach an offense. He might be able to get the defense back to where it was, but he can't fix Harden's iso-flop-ball, Dwert's lack of a post game, or all the chucking they do. Morey probably won't even let any coach fix it, anyway. So their ceiling would still be getting bounced in the WCF by a team like the Warriors or Spurs that plays defense and doesn't choke in the playoffs very often.

I agree with this but my point was that the reason he killed Dwight for it was because he was pissed that Dwight"bit his ". Of course it was true. Still is.
Shaq was the Jay-z or NAs admonishing some young NeW york wannabe MC for biting his style or flow. He could have mentored Dwight but chose to engage an inferior player with inferior intellect in a beef and it made shaq seem petty. (Kenny and Chuck loved to use this to troll shaq btw, Ernie too)

In contrast, LeBron took the high road with Dat Lincoln nicca stevenson. Saying going at Deshawn would be like hova taking shots at Soulja Boy. UInfortunately Lincoln struck back by helping Dirk and LDN Tyson beat James in miami.

Looks like Bickerstaff Jr. has the job for the rest of the season: http://espn.go.com/blog/houston-rock...slie-alexander

    Can J.B. win this job?
Alexander: Of course he can. If the team responds to him and we win, of course he can.

He’s here until the end of the season, and then you’re going to re-evaluate him. That correct?

    Alexander: 100 percent.

Morey has no choice but to let the new coach do his thing. He is next to be fired.

i mean I agree with you, but when harden is clicking on all cylinders , and the team is running they look good. As for a half court set, I agree they don't seem to have or have had an offense at all minus harden iso orb PnR. I just think they have good enough players to win if they learn how to play defense.

He has played with absolutely no effort this season. Im guessing a lot of it was to get Kevin fired. The other part is he put in absolutely no work in during the off season, unlike last year when he played for Coach K and with Thibs for Team USA., and came into the season in shape.

Of course they're saying Bickerstaff is going to stay. That doesn't mean it's true. They aren't going to throw him under the bus before he even gets a chance.

Not a bad move to give Bickerstaff a shot, hopefully he isn't as bad of a coach like his dad but he is the coach for the Rockets so I hope he is worse . They'll eventually probably get some mediocre to bad former player coach like Terry Porter or Vinny Del Negro, even Marc Jackson who is Kevin McHale 2.0 imo this offseason. Thibodeau should be nothing more than a top lead assistant if you want to compete.

Glad to see McHale go. Rockets fans do indeed rejoice and Morey is essentially now in the hot seat. Maybe now they will play some defense and Ty Lawson won't be wasted in this lacksadaisical offense.

Well now there's a coaching opening at the Rockets. For the remainder of the season, wouldn't hurt to bring Thibs in as assistant on the defensive end.

Next season, I wouldn't mind seeing D'Antoni on the Rockets.
