So the kid who grabbed his mom's stockpile of weapons recently (that she had even knowing her son was unstable) and went to town surely wouldn't have happened, right?
Do you have statistics to support the claim about legal firearms?
saw where they say the name "Syed" was mentioned over the scanners
He's correct. I've posted them here before. I'll look later after this finishes up.
That reddit thread is dangerous and are constantly removing updates due to false information or for whatever reason. This one can be quite dangerous:
CORRECTION: A witness at Roberts Elementary reported a camouflaged middle-eastern man with a beard wearing a headset at the Waterman Discount Mall - possibly armed.
Read it was 3 white males in a ski mask.
These jokers need to source their posts.
Of course it's dangerous. I'm hoping law enforcement isn't using a Reddit thread for deployment.
"Schools in San Bernardino city placed on lockdown"
What took so ing long?
Apparently related SWAT situation in Pasedena now per KTLA.
News is saying it is at the before mentioned Waterman mall.
I can't find a good scanner feed for Pasadena. Anyone got one?
Just confirmed not related to San Bernardino
not even sure how this is relevant to my post whatsoever
sure. this is the most recent i had read on the subjectDo you have statistics to support the claim about legal firearms?

edit: just saw tsa linked the same thing earlier
Man if they made it out before a perimeter was set up this could take awhile.
From the article.About 40 percent said they got it illegally on the black market, from a drug dealer or by stealing it.
, they're at pasadena? getting closer to home tbh
yeah, and only 11% had purchased them from stores or gun shows, which is the point where regulations would apply. 37% got them from friends or family, which may or may not be legal exchanges, but wouldn't be affected much by regulation

That's 11% that would be less likely to fall into the hands of people who don't need them. What's the problem? No reason it can't be a part of a solution that has other parts.
As opposed to what, exactly? Throwing our hands up in the air helplessly? Giving everyone guns?
If we ban guns in the US the gun black market would explode and all it would benefit is 2 groups. Gangs and the ATF.
France is a living example.
i never said i oppose tighter regulations. its just annoying to read comments like your first one in this thread when we have no information yet.
its always easier on the mind to have a simple scapegoat, just like with sports (if we just remove player A, everything will be fixed, etc)
So it was a county employee Christmas party in that room. Who knows if it's relevant.
way to many puzzle pieces to make sense of anything now, but at least there's been a flow of information
