No, tie it on top of 2 pontoon boats....that way the whole thing can just float up as the water rises.

Actually, doesn't the Guadalupe River go right through Victoria to the bay? That's not good. My thought are that the Hurricane will strike just North of the bay so Victoria will be on the West side of the Hurricane. I also expect it to go back down to a CAT4 by the time it strikes land.

That map takes it down to a CAT 2 before landfall. VEry very very wishfull thinking.

I mentioned before that I think it will strike at a CAT4. The map was not for determining wind speed at strike time, but what direction I think the Hurricane is headed and if you've seen the new projection maps they all have one thing in common, they all intersect at that same exact spot...

I read there were some cool water spots in the path of the storm that could take some of its energy, but Cat2 seems awfully low for landfall. I still think we otta cancelled Aug and Sep, and moved right to pre-season.
From what I've read, Rita is now a CAT 5, and could be stronger than Katrina when it hits land. Get out while the gettin's good!
yes. yes it does. and that floods all the time over nothing... she'll be swellign to 10x's her normal size form a hurricane.... also she tends to jump her banks and re-direct at will......
