I'd say the vast improvement of Rodman and Dumars from 88-90 were bigger factors in Detroit going to 3 straight Finals appearance than the notion of Isiah sacrificing his stats.
A little confused here. Isiah and Dumars had the same number of field goal attempts in that series, and they won the le in four straight games. That's kind of the opposite of hero ball. I think I'd post this link to support my side of the discussion.
