Teams overpaying for free agents like the 1999-2014 Redskins

TBH I like Sean Smith, Lamar Miller and Damon Harrison signings though.

Think the Skins will land Reggie Nelson, Vernon Davis, Andre Branch even possibly Chris Long soon and find a way to bring back Junior Galette.

Don't be shocked if the Skins make a strong push to trade for Chancellor though as he is from the area, and McCloughan is the guy who drafted him.

Skins I think will kill it in the draft again.

Yeah the Smith signing turned out great when you compare it to janoris jenkins. Bruce Irvin also looks like a steal based the market around him.

Osemele was an overpay, but I'd rather overpay on a sure commodity on the offensive line than just about anything else. Plus we need to spend a ton of money just to hit the salary floor, which is why all the deals we've made are frontloaded.

As long as Carolina steals Weddle for OAK
    Weddle

Have fun with those whiffs on RB and constant missed tackles. Oh and giving up on a play almost every time an opposing player breaks into the backfield

It's adorable that you're pretending like the qb position is important for Denver. They just dominated everyone with the worst qb in the league. As long as we can replace Malik and Trevethan, the best defense in 15 years of the NFL will be back. And we will be well on our way to yet another AFC West crown. Brock is overrated anyway in my opinion.

And finally....I'm gonna go ahead an give Elway the benefit of the doubt seeing as he's been making the AFC West his for his entire tenure.

    Oh....also.....SUPER BOWL CHAMPS
with the worst qb in the league.

All he has to do is not throw the most picks in the league and he will be an upgrade from Manning.....when we won the super bowl.....lol

As long as new QB doesnt do something stupid too often. Manning in post season was errorless.

You had a good running game last year. Defense wont matter if you cant run it this year, which isnt CJ Anderson leaving?

Lol....we had an extremely mediocre running game....and CJ is average at best. Telling you, That game you watched the Super Bowl was pretty much on par with the rest of the season.....thy didn't score much, they didn't convert on 3rd down much and they didn't have many yards.

The defense single handily carried them all the way thru a super bowl win.

part of the reason the qb's were so awful was because the play fake wasn't working because defenses didn't have to honor the run.

But you're correct. However, he threw pick after pick after pick after pick prior to that and they still won 12 games....7 with Manning.

Yet Anderson still had 4.7 yards per attempt. You cannot keep depending solely on the defense for multiple years. how long did Seattle's dominant defense last?

Agreed....completely, but Anderson was serviceable at best and platooned with Hillman. They can replace him without much effort. Further, their offensive line (in theory) should improve dramatically with the return of the always ing injured pro bowler Ryan Clady, the projected starter at right tackle that was injured all last year in Ty Sambraillo, and then they just signed a dude from KC to come in and compete.

So like I said, the offense should improve.... , it would almost be impossible to not get better compared to last season. Then if we replace Malik and Trevethan, we should be good. I have a feeling they may move Barrett inside to compete for Trevethans job and in doing so would bring even more speed to the position.

They're going to be fine is my overall point....regardless if Brock or Kaep is the starter.

Also, while I agree that you have to come up with some balance....look how long the Ravens were good because of just the defense.....it can be done.

I do think it's interesting to read how many people are criticizing the Broncos for the way they handled Manning coming back from injury. Lots of people saying they did Brock wrong and how f'd up it was and they blew their chance at singing Brock Right then and there.

Well , they won the super bowl....isn't that the whole point?
