I remember Cleveland beat the Spurs every game in the regular season, then they got swept in the finals. If OKC keeps losing, an we beat the Clips... idk if we beat the Dubs. I'm good with being in 2nd place to rest people for the playoffs. OKC an Clips shouldn't be able to catch us, nor will we catch the Dubs for 1st place. Might as well rest people an get pt for Miller an Martin.(I doubt Miller but we're gonna need Martin)

Agreed - that's what I was saying. Still good, but they have relied heavily on Curry literally bailing them out which isn't always going to happen despite his greatness. They still play well offensively in most games, but defensively is where you see the lapses.

Blowing them out is going to be tough because even a bad night for them is still solid scoring.
Yup. And their defense has been terrible, so it'll be important for us to play our game offensively and be sharp for 48 minutes. Can't play like we did against OKC and miss so many open shots.

As bad as we shot and as sloppy as we were with the ball last game we were within reach there for a bit, even in the 3rd.

We have to slow the game down, make some 3s and take care of the ball.

I'd like to see experimentation. Lots of it. No matter the outcome.

If / When we get to face them in the PO, we'll be able to "surprise" them more than they can us.

They're an open book. I can't see how they can improve anymore.

The Spurs, on the other hand, have yet to find the most balanced way of offense.

The Warriors are gonna come in ready for bear...they are using the fact that the media is hyping this as "GSW hasn't won in San Antonio in the rs since Tim Duncan was drafted." Which is true.

They are gonna be totally motivated. I just hope we can match their intensity level. Our poor first quarter showings have mostly been a function of 'not being ready to play'. If that happens Saturday night we won't be able to come back against a team that feels that they have something to prove and are anxious to prove it.

Agreed. The Warriors seem to have a top gear that can't be matched by the rest of the league. @CLE, vs SA, etc. They really do seem to get up for big games, and all the talk of not having won a regular season game @SA in so long is huge bulletin board material. That said, it would be devastating to their morale if the Spurs win easily. They haven't dealt with real adversity since last year's playoffs.

I have the $99 amp from Sam Ash that my mom bought me in 2009. I'll even include it in the package too if the Spurs do win the West, tbh

You know Pop doesn't emphasize RS games. If the team is motivated as on Saturday- that motivation came from themselves and honestly, that would worry me because it indicates the Warriors are in the players' heads, instead of treating it like any other RS game.

Although I can totally see Kawhi laying in bed, late nite, watching tape of Curry. Every night.
Learning his every motion. His every thought. Getting ready for the inevitable (hopefully) playoff match-up.

But that's the fantastical fantasy of my fanside talking.

Just don't let him ING SHOOT ANY THREES and we'll win. Give him ZERO airspace.

Right... pretty tough though when you have to hit him beyond half court on D THE ENTIRE GAME and he has the ability to blow past you to setup the offense easily, or put them in a halfcourt break situation...

I suspect it will be Green on Curry the most minutes with Kawhi switching to him in the 4th.
Where's Parker and Mills going to hide, though?

Pop won't show any answers in the RS, but he just may stumble upon some.

They won a game here 3 years ago in the playoffs though. It's not that big of a deal IMO.

    I'll do $50 though.
I think the dubs are gonna be on an unholy crusade to end the streak and you know pop could give two s.

Doesn't matter if Iggy's out. Warriors always get up to play the spurs and considering they haven't won in SA in a really long time, it's more motivation for them.
Anyways, Spurs better be ready to face them this Saturday. Curry recently has been unstoppable. Thank goodness the spurs have Kawhi and Green. We know he can't be stopped but someone has to slow him down.

Kirrie is overrated tbh, the kid is just a lanky one trick pony shooter who wouldn't make it 2 seconds if guys like D-West were allowed to put him on his ass without getting tossed for flagrant fouls.

GS will be on the 2nd night of a B2B. Spurs are ed if they can't beat GS with that, two key players out and at home. GS is coming to play so the Spurs can't do their mechanical/lethargic start.

That said - Spurs with the W

If Danny shows up, I think we have a good shot. If he lays an egg like he has been lately, could be a long night. That goes for our whole team actually.

The Spurs are 18/88 from 3 over the last 4 games (!!). That's not going to cut it.
