Yes thus the loss. Nice work Sherlock. He went out near the beginning of the 2nd half in game 5. If you factor in .5 games for that he actually averaged closer to 18 minutes, slightly off pace from his 18.4 mpg from last year's Finals.

Box score watchers will box score watch though. Stay strong.
Your math is way off. It's embarrassing really. Half a game of 6 minutes leads to changing an avg from 12 to 18? Do you even read what you write?

Also, you say "thus the loss", but that is a conclusion. Got any reasoning for that conclusion? Beyond the vanilla "Bogut protects the rim."

Let's not also forget that Bogut's recent health is an outlier and the guy is always close to injury. By your logic, the Bulls should be the finals winner but for the D Rose injury.

    This should be good.

And it doesn't stand to reason because he never admits to being wrong anyway.

Bogut was BENCHED for Ezeli in the 2015 Finals after the Cavs went up 2-1 by essentially attacking him in every PnR. He played a grand total of ZERO minutes in the finals 3 games which were all wins for the Duds.
Too bad time moves the other direction.

    Half of Game 5.

The 18 number was wrong. He would have been closer to 13.5

Either way you have to factor in that he only played half a game but the mpg considers only that he played in that game.

Warriors lose next three games in historical fashion.

Bogut is a big moving screen. Guys cannot get around him to contest Curry or Klay fast enough and Bogut is a great passer. Festus was a liability.

There's a reason we beat them in SA when Bogut and Iggy were out.

    Game 5

Can you see where Bogut went out? I can.

I didn't say the Cavs didn't deserve it or that the Warriors did. I said the difference isn't as great as all the bandwagon stupidity makes it out to be. For sure the Splash Brothers weren't up to the task, for whatever reason, but pretending that 4 point difference says something about Kerr or the Warriors is ludicrous. It says something about Lebron and the Cavs. Last year they had 2 of their big 3 out. This year the Warriors had to suffer losses. The pendulum swung. It doesn't say a lot about either team we didn't already know.

I've explained the 3-1 comeback. Bogut went down. There was not another win after that. That's because what Curry and Klay do on the perimeter is fueled in large part by having a huge moving screen named Bogut, and by having a defender in the paint so they can hide Curry on someone besides Lebron. Mo and Festus together can't carry Bogut's jock strap.
I'll say it again: If you're bragging about how you've built your team to crush everyone else, and it all hinges on the health of Andrew Bogut, you aren't playing chess, you're shooting craps.

    And they lost.

    Next?
The Dubs had one of the easiest paths to a le in recent memory. Again, not really fertile ground for their owner to be crowing about how far his team is ahead of everyone else.

No I'm not. I'm pointing out facts. Warriors never won a game after Bogut was out, and were doing ok in that game prior to that moment. It's all speculation, and they might have lost anyhow, but Bogut does a lot more for that team than the stat sheets show. Actually the stat sheets do show his contributions if you know how to look.

Bogut wouldn't have been able to do anything when LeBron stopped pussy footing, it was proven last season when he run him to the bench.

Every NBA success hinges on the health of players. There's a difference between crushing the RS league and crushing the playoffs.

Lebron just happened to do that midway through game 5.

LeBron had 12 points in the first quarter of Gm 5 to lead all players.

Gm 1: WORST +/- on the team: -8 in a 15 point win (Didn't play a second after midway through the 3rd & the Duds pulled away)

Gm 2: Worst +/- among the starters: +10 in a 33 point blowout (Duds blew the game open when he got benched early in the 3rd)

Gm 3: Couldn't do shyt when LeBron took over the game

Gm 4: Was absolutely GHOST but the Duds still won on the ROAD.

Exactly. Every NBA success does. Which makes the Warriors no different than anyone else. Yet their owner was bragging about how the system was so next-level over everyone else, but they needed a starting center with a long injury history to be the lynchpin for the whole thing. Doesn't really make them the smartest guys in the room, does it?

Warriors would've still been a 58 plus win team without Bogut, imo. They should've won Game 7 at home without him. They choked though.

I don't know. No one on that team was a world beater a few years ago. It's not like they stacked. Now that the giant is dead we can poke fun about how little it really was, but it wasn't.
