But I wouldn't rule a the possibility of a shia muslim doing this though. In truth most Shias and Sunnis in the west are laymens, and although they might have differences and big ones in Syria and Iraq...they do both see the West as the hand that stirs the middle east.

I've lived in Germany for 10+ years and its not exactly a welcoming open society like the US or something.
