There only wasn't a Super Bowl yet in '63 because the Bears were too chicken to play the Chargers. Sid Gillman WANTED to play Chicago for all the marbles and tried to make it happen, but the Bears turned them down because they were scared. That speaks volumes about who the true world champs were that year, tbh.
The chatter about the AFL vs NFL would have been great if the internet had been around back then.

I don't blame the Bears for not wanting any part of that Chargers team. But.....all in all the NFL was the better league, their teams had far more depth of quality players, in the AFL once ya got past the stars, it dropped off dramatically when it came to talent. However, that Charger team in a one game take all could have beat anyone.

One of my prized possessions is my collection of old AFL football cards. That Cookie Gilchrist rookie card with that classic high knee, straight arm....the star.

    I know, I know, you don't give a and I'm a got, hahahahaha~~~~~~

Don't understand why both Erving and Irving were ejected. Looked like a typical scrum.

He had his arm grabbed. It was pretty blatant, but that ing got diva should shut the up about it and move on to the next play. He's still crying about it after the touchdown. Prima dona .

I agree tbh wish he would hang out with Megatron in the offseason and learn how to be a professional WR.
