It looked intentional (at least possibly) to me.

You were right. But so was I - in the clip going to the game break, TBN didn't show much more than the player coming down on Kawhi. I just guessed it was a
rebound when it was a drive by Oladipo.

Hopefully he plays tomorrow with a bit of a chip on his shoulder. Actually, hopefully the whole team does.

Agreed, reminded me of one of Draymond's "natural basketball plays".

LMA in particular is the one who needs to play with a chip on his shoulder - starting tomorrow and from then on. I hated watching OKC mauling our guys with no calls, but also with no real push-back from us. We can't be soft in the playoffs. AND our shooters have got to re-discover their shooting touch.

Same here. Not saying for sure but looked like he made sure his elbow made it well over towards Kwa.

For Kwa's part, you've got to put up an arm in defense on plays like that. Anticipate a cheap shot. Sucks, but have to think that way. It like on the road drive defensively.

So anyone think it was done intentionally to try to get Kawhi out of the MVP discussion by missing a week or two?

I don't know why anyone ever thought they'd get the 1 seed. If the genius didn't sabotage them, you had to know something else would conspire against them or a combination thereof. I was at least hoping they'd make those arrogant pricks sweat it out until at least close to the end, but as usual everything works out for the latter in the end.

At least the Spurs will try to beat a top team without being kawhi reliant, maybe LMA steps up, either that or pop punts the game after a bad start

That "brutal" team will have to step up big time in Kawhi's absence or the Spurs will drop the next few games.

Will Kawhi ever play more than 72 games in season once in his career? It is not only Pop and his rest shtick, but he's been annoyingly prone to freak injuries his entire career..
