Hopefully Pop feels less threatened now.

Spurs can now possibly add yet another 30+ or better yet 35+ declining and/or never had athleticism F or Center.

He was really good for a stretch during the season after Gasol got hurt. Then he lost his rhythm.

Sucks that it didn't work out. His defense was pretty good when he would not foul, which was improving.

You are not going to be very good in league, if you can't knock down a ten foot jumper occasionally. Unless you are skilled around the basket, which he is not.

I am going to miss your's and Lee's antics on the sideline, but go get your money in the ATL!

Tbh, Bogut or Splitter will fill the hole. We are going small. LMA and gasol are our centers.

This is one player that I actually have no idea what he did wrong. But it could just be that he wanted more money.

I thought he played about the same level as Simmons in the regular season.

Splitter would complement all our current bigs.
Would be a nice fit with all of LMA, JL and Gay too. I am predicting the reunion since The GSW series.

Big loss...the defense was much better with him, despite the fouls...the stretch when he was starting was our best basketball...and he singlehandedly linked mark gasol who was DOMINATING us up to that point...I dont blame him for leaving... Pop had a clear bias when he wouldn't get on gasoline for his MANY....MAAAAANY defensive lapses, but would bench dedmon got several games if he made one

I'll pass on seeing ter become unplayable in the playoffs. He was only useful against ZBo, Dirk, and LMA. 2 of those are on lottery teams and the other would be his teammate. No thanks.

That block Lebron had on him literally ended his manhood. He got benched in 2014 when it got tough, and then let Griffin average a triple double on him. He's probably worn more than 100 suits during game days since he left us.

    Again. Pass.

He's throwing me off. I associate the del negro pic exclusively with you. I keep thinking it's you initially.
That's why I find it funny. At least you'll believe he's able not to write bad words in every single message he's posting. He should thank me actually...

    What about Pau,s deal?
Would have little to do with it as far as cap goes. As far as the tax goes, if Simmons comes back, they have to stretch Pau's deal over multiple years. If Simmons goes elsewhere, they can give him his one-year back.

But how do they sign him. He was only here one season... pardon my asking, this stuff is confusing. I saw briefly in SAexpress that he wants a multiyear deal, retire a Spur...

    With the non-Bird exception.

It's for up to 120% of his previous salary and can be up to 4 years , but hopefully it'll be for only one year fully guaranteed.

Happy for him. I don't think it is a big loss for the Spurs, but we do need to find some serviceable bigs.

This loss will hurt. He wasn't great but he was very effective on the defensive end despite being foul prone. Spurs currently don't have a big with his athletic ability and rim protecting ability on the roster.
This. I dont understand all the hate. An athletic legit 7 footer, with good hands, is hard to find. The spurs rarely have a peice like him and always sorely need one
