While obviously not a good look and probably hard to fathom for hard core fans, it's not uncommon for apathy to settle in for casual fans (which makes up the majority of every fan base) on consistent winners. This fan base has seen so many big games over the past 20 years that it's probably difficult for a lot of them to get all that interested in random regular season games or even the umpteenth playoff series vs Grizzlies.
