Aldridge was the reason spurs even had a lead in the fourth and hit some shots in the quarter. Can't put this loss on him

Not on Aldridge at all. He showed up including the 4th. They crowded him & forced others to make plays.

This team lacks closers who can play smart & a competent floor general that knows what to run in the last 2mins . Pop could of controlled some of it through lineups. No Gay or Tony to finish is a glaring mistake.

Aldridge played great, I don't know why anybody expects him to be a closer, it's not his game..it's very easy to erase his impact in a tight game with a swarming defense..

I don't know why they signed Gay if they aren't going to use him as a closer, it's been his best attribute throughout his career..

Yeah, it's a shame that we wasted a 30-17 game from him.

Aldridge was great and I don’t get why everyone is upset, you go into the reigning champions building and nearly shock them. They had benefit of crowd and favorable touch calls.

Sure GS is a different team with Curry, but Kawhi means more to the Spurs than Curry means to GS; one just changes the offensive opportunities and pace, the other ALSO plays defense.

This is the worst Spurs team by most accounts and still looked compe ive against championship-caliber team. Let’s not be naive though,Spurs needed a full year with Kawhi to get defensively cohesive, the team has adapted to Aldridge offensively but defense wins championships.

I think what Pop has done is pretty good considering the talent, but in the West you need 2 superstars not just 2 all stars. Sadly Aldridge is finally living up to his paycheck this season but a big portion of me believes it’s due to NOT coexisting with Kawhi. If the two could work together and get over themselves they’re enough to make the Spurs a championship contender.

It’s clear that the Spurs lack 3 point threat and a defensive big that can run the floor. We need to give up on Gasol (worst offseason move since paying Malik Rose).

Not really sure though, Spurs FO have painted themselves into a corner with ability to build around Kawhi. We look like Portland 2.0 that Aldridge left when he couldn’t be the star.
