If the Spurs had missed the playoffs and were the 14th seed, they would have a better chance of moving into the top 3 picks than they would winning a series

Obviously. If they had missed the playoffs, they'd have a zero-percent chance at winning a series.

He seems like the type of prospect that could slip in the draft just right outside the lottery which was why I said "best case scenario".

If PATFO don't trade down then Jontay Porter (more skilled Channing Frye) might be the best fit alongside LMA. He's young but he can really benefit from spending two seasons with Pau as he already has solid court vision .
Damn, you beat me to it. Porter looks, plays and sounds like their type.

They should be going with the highest ceiling player. Robinson looks like the best case scenario is Capela, while Porter looks like the best case scenario is Lyles.

Lyles can't pass to save his life, dude is a gunner. Porter is somewhat like Josh McRoberts once he figured it out.

We need the best SF available at 18, doesn't matter if Kawhi is back next year or not.

Neither can Frye and McRoberts isn't similar to Frye.

One other player I wouldn't mind having if we can get him is Kostas Antetokounmpo.

There have been only two positives about this season: (a) 18th pick, (b) Aldridge rebuilding his value.

    That's it.

Small improvements by Anderson and Murray but I don't think they amounted to a development that got us "excited" about next season.
