How could you not hate Jefferson? The Spurs instantly became le contenders after dropping that piece of . I don't think I have seen one player hold a team back so badly since late 90s Ewing.
Last year too. Spurs had best games with lee dedmon and lazy fat ass gasoft on the pine

Jefferson was a runem gunem player forced into half court offense. He knew it was wrong. Gasol thinks hes good. Ive seen him AIRBALL 8 LAYUPS in 2 years AIRBALL. hes 7 foot tall... wtf
I severely disliked Jefferson but I never really hated him tbh. He was trash but he could at least hit the three and had some value as a player when he was here. Not his fault PATFO resigned him to that re ed deal (guess you could say the same about Pau tho). Gasol on the other hand is ing worthless on the court. He has been good for absolutely nothing but entry passes to LA this season. He had a decent stretch earlier in the season but was atrocious the rest of the year. I can't stand watching his "scream and flail" defense anymore
If Turkoglu hits his 3's the Spurs win in 2004. That team was as good or better than the 2003 and 2005 teams that won championships.
Jefferson was a disgrace.
Finley I liked as a person seemed like a nice guy. But he was ex-Dallas and seemed to miss the most important shots he took as a Spur. Then he lingered on too long.
Bonner was an effective player in some seasons but also lingered on too long.
Udoka and Bogans were trying to replace Bruce Bowen and they didn't live up to it.
Del Negro was pathetic for a starting SG on a team trying to win a championship.
Shot 16% in the playoffs, 16%!!!!!! 3/18 shooting in 82 minutes. He probably will shoot better in the future bc that's awful, but it's nothing to give an endorsement to.
Don't hate him tho.
Decent player, but I never liked Rod Strickland, even before the over the head no look pass/turnover in the playoffs.
David Robinson
Tim Duncan
Tony Parker
Manu Ginobili
George Gervin
James Silas
Bruce Bowen
Kawhi Leonard
Avery Johnson
Richard Jefferson, no question.
Gasol.....the sight of him vexes my spirit
There was a stretch after 05 where the Spurs still opted to keep washed out vets like Finley, Horry, Bowen, Kurt Thomas, and Barry. Those guys were great but the Spurs opted to stay old and rely on experience instead of investing in young talent that could have made things easier for the Big Three during the twilight of their careers. The intent to make the Big Three the focal point of the offense and the intent to save money was evident, but provided little to no relief when any of them would get injured. There also was this time when the Spurs struggled finding decent wings. James White, Marcus Williams, Melvin Saunders, Desmond Ferguson, Da’Sean Butler, DerMarr Johnson, Malik Hairston...the Spurs clearly struggled to find a young and decent 3 and D wing. You could tell the Spurs were keen on saving money, only attracting guys like Ime Udoka and Roger Mason Jr. Both provided great value for their salaries but still placed a brunt of the scoring duties on the big three.
Dennis Rodman by a landslide. I always felt he cost us a championship by literally disappearing in the playoffs to hide in Las Vegas boning Madonna.
