Just one game, but Dennis Smith Jr looked like total ass. One of the worst defensive efforts i’ve seen out of a player.
Luka’s shot was off but his elite court vision was already on display. He’s going to figure things out quickly, and then when his conditioning is NBA level, he’ll be dominant.
Yeah I don't know what type of direction the Mavs are going for in their roster, but they have zero guys who can play defense on the perimeter. That's usually not a good sign. I feel bad for the ghost of Dirk Nowitzky having to suffer this much for a franchise he carried on his back

It's not about the Rockets. When Cousins went out last season, the Pels went on a tear. Now with him definitely out and a PG that can actually shoot instead of Rondo, they are primed to have a full season of beasting. There's always the question about Davis' health though.
I do think they will compete for a top 5 spot but even after this supposed "tear" it pales in comparison to Houston.
Rockets warriors will lead the pack.
But most.teams below them all have huge qiestion marks.
Their wing depth is nonexistent so there are an injury away from being middle of the pack.

Mavs looked unprepared and poorly coached. On the bright side, I don’t see how it gets any worse
Houston will disappoint lots of people this year. Their defense was what made them a contender last year and they dropped that.
They may still win a lot of games In the regular season (I think about 55 or so) but they’d be a first round out, or easy second round out, this year.
DSJ and Doncic were awful
