Apparently Flopovich is so good at motivating players that they come out flat everytime they play a team with a worse record than them

Murray and Forbes - 24 minutes and 3 points in the first half. These guys are not going to be in the NBA in 3-4 years let alone lead a team.

Pop is that patient in the psych hospital that keeps trying to put the square peg in the round hole. Day in and day out. Every day the same thing.

Sounds like some posters on this site rather than Pop, tbh.

Our 'shooters' arent even spreading the floor. They are just collapsing on DD and doubling LMA. What's the damn point.

To think that the best they could do for him was Mah Touches, Pau Gasol, and Rudy ing Gay.

Horrible half. Expect a better effort in the second half, but they are in a whole and if Hornets hang tough another bad loss. Ugh

spurs have been doing too many promos. la cultura (very cheap clothing), the indigenous night (at least it was ‘47 brand stuff decent quality) and now Selena night. It’s getting comical tbh

why didn’t they just offer kawhi the super max outright? Can’t wait for the clippers to win that LOB

Just logged on and to see a 13 pt deficit to Charlotte. It's time. Trade DeRozan and Aldridge. Ship ain't getting fixed this season.

These are my favorite type of games too tbh. Spurs come back from a big deficit only to it up at the end anyways

It amazes me the number of people that have jumped ship because the Spurs have to "gasp!" fight for the playoffs for the first time in 22 years. (Though 2009 and 2010 had their moments of "its over" too. And by 2011 and certainly 2012 they were a power again. One that lasted until 2017. If these are our "down years' we have not and are not suffering. All the "retire Pop" "Player x sucks" "RC sucks" is way unrealistic, even if you can justifiably criticize some things.

We're actually due to miss the playoffs one of these years. Its not the end of the world if it happens, and it doesn't mean everyone running the show is suddenly incompetent. It's just the nature of a site like this where everyone wants immediate satisfaction.
I understand the big picture statistical perspective, but you can't ignore what your eyes see game in and game out. Starting a player who is as statistically horrible as Bryn and playing him so many minutes is not just a contributing factor to some statistical model; it is absolutely terrible coaching. Go look at his Hollinger statistics. There is no way that you can justify starting and playing Bryn that many minutes - and that's not even considering the game situations into which Pop inserts such a poor defender. That's just using one player as an example. Go check Marco's Hollinger statistics, as well. And once again, that's not touching on the game situations in which Pop inserts these horrible players when he has alternatives that are statistically demonstrably better. There is just no way your own eyes can justify the "tactical" moves Pop make.

Friend, Bill, I appreciate loyalty, but you don't have to fall on your sword. I watched Tom Landry go downhill, too. Pop's decline is far worse.

Spurs getting curb stomped by... (checks notes) Cody Zeller. Mercy, it’s been a long season. LMA having an off night is really dooming the good guys. When I saw that air ball early I was hoping it was an anomaly. Sadly, it might be that type of night.

At the half, Murray has no points, Patty has no points, Aldridge has 4... it's a wonder the score is as close as it is.

If we had honest beat reporters maybe we'd know if Pop is on the floor or as involved with the team as he was prior to 2015. I'm thinking NOT.

"We share wine. We have discussions. Lots of stuff more important than basketball. That's REAL involvement."

"We don't need no trades. They just have to run my plays better and we can make the playoffs"
But do you really want that same making those trades?

hornets crew talking about he Spurs Win's against top teams even though they are five games under .500

They are still surprised how well the Hornets are doing against the Spurs.
Eh, they have their Bill Land/Sean Elliott company men, too.
