I hope we don't go with the tiest offensive lineup the league has ever seen in the 2nd half. (Rasho, Oberto, Marks, Bowen, and Parker) What was the coaching staff thinking for that 3 minute stretch in the 2nd?

The only solace so far is that Udrih has remained glued to the bench.

All this and we are still winning...

Just more experimentation from Pop. Going tall this time. Probably didn't like the results on the boards.

Actually, I think NVE was in there with that bunch most of the time.

Sorry Argies but Manu still sucks big ass or is too much hurt. Pop, let him heal his wounds and leave him on the bench please.
Sucks big ass? That's a bit harsh considering that Davis only has 8 points. I don't think that Manu is getting the ball in his hands enough for him to get going. It's the Tim and Tony show right now. At some point, teams will start doubling and tripling Tim and Tony and Manu will have the ball more.

Spurs cooled off, Celts got hot, yawn.

Game is too close for comfort. Will be hard for the Spurs to pull away if the Celts keep shooting 50%.

Duncan looked good on the three that he made. He might have to look for that shot more.

Manu needs to drive more aggressively to the hoop.

There's no need for him to do that right now. Tim and Tony are hot and he is still nursing the injury. If they start clamping down on T & T, Manu will get his chance.

I was referring to the time Manu was in and T & T were out. He needs to carry the scoring load there and did nothing.

Another telling fact on the season.... Spurs are dead last in free throws attempted but lead the league in personal fouls.

How does a penetrating, inside the paint scoring team featuring Duncan, Ginobili, and Parker allow this to happen?

It's a little early for conspiracy theories but it looks like Stern and the NBA officials are going to make us earn this championship the hard way.

Basically, the Celts made their run with Duncan out.

Sanders is just out of sync but he did a couple of nice things on D. Marks was horrible on D trying to keep up with Gomes. NVE hasn't learned that Dan au's only threat is from the 3-pt. line, so he backed off Dan with the shot clock down to 3.

Pop's experiment with 3 bigs was horrible.

Watching the game, I saw Doc River's eyes light up when he realized that Rasho, Oberto, and Marks were in the game at the same time. He immediately went small and our 16pt lead evaporated.

Which brings up an interesting trade offer... Rasho and Beno for a bag of .

I take the deal with a smile.

Manu was near half court on that 3. Now he hits 2 free throws, Spurs by 10.

Bowen called for traveling, same gay call they used to always make against Elliot.

Manu drives and is fouled. 2 FTs coming.

    Manu makes both!!

    Duncan blocks Davis on reverse!

Tim upfakes at top and passes to Bowen in corner, travel.

Rasho was fine-- Marks was a mismatch trying to guard a SF.

If the boxscore on nba.com is correct - Timmy and Tony combined for 35 of spurs' 47 pts :o

Rasho is third best scorer with 4 pts. I guess it's a small step from being "the deepest" team in the NBA to being a two-man team
